Every year, my parents hold a holiday pig-picking for both sides of the family. Everyone has their own families now and it is so heard to get everyone together. It is the only time of the year that I get to see all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins and we have a ball!!!

This sounds strange, but Halloween is my favorite Holiday Get-Together. For the past 2 years (since we moved into our neighborhood) I have my family over for an early Halloween Dinner. Then half the adults take the kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, while the rest stay on the porch and pass out candy. For so long we have all either rented or have homes out in the country, so none of use had trick-or-treaters and our kids weren’t old enough to really go. My 60-year-old parents have the most fun – they come dressed up in wigs and fake teeth!! Its so great to see the joy on everyone’s face. :)

My favorite holiday get together is when we get together with all the neighborhood children to decorate Christmas cookies. There are about a dozen kids ranging from 2 to 14 years old. The older ones help the little ones, and everyone has so much fun!

Thanks for the great giveaway.

We don’t have a traditional get together, but my in laws have one they take the kids to every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They go to my FIL’s cousins house for a family get together. DH and I stay home and get the Christmas shopping/wrapping done :) The kids have a blast and ask every year if they get to go again.

Christmas Eve- we spend the morning at my Mother-in-law’s for brunch with extended family and have a gift exchange and fellowship and then in the evening we go look at lights while “Santa” leaves new jammies or blanket and a movie then we have a yummy “feast” of sausage, cheese and crackers and appetizers as well as all the cookies and candies we have made. The anticipation makes us all giddy and it is just a really great time.
