Well, I would have to say a very close (too close to call) tie between Barry Manilow, and Linda Eder. I have loved Barry since high school, and found Linda on Christmas Day, 2001 (watched her Bravo special and wondered how I had never heard her before). Absolutely love them both!

Your not sure of this CD yet? One song is worth having it. Listen to the words of “They are the Roses”. I am 66 and don’t like most of the newer artist. I liked the Old country like Patty Loveless. I now listen to mostly Christian music but perfer the CD’s with various artist with the Praise and Worship Sounds. ybutler@oppcatv.com

Robert Palmer is my favorite artist of all time. I loved the way he would just wear a suit when he was in concert. No frills, no gimmicks, just music. And he had a wonderful sense of humor.

Definitely Barbra Streisand, though Linda Eder has carved her nitch as the modern Streisand, so she’s nearing the top of the list herself!
