Remember my visit from Lisa LaPorta, of HGTV’s Designed to Sell? I know, I know, I really want to show you my bedroom makeover. It’s not quite done yet, BUT…
KILZ wants moms like you to know DIY décor projects CAN be done with minimal time and money – and starting with a coat of KILZ Clean Start primer gives you a clean slate to get the job done right. I never really knew the importance of primer, but I’m told that one coat of KILZ primer dries in less than an hour and allows for fewer top coats – saving you time and money down the road. The KILZ brand recently unveiled KILZ Clean Start primer, a zero VOC sealer and stainblocker that’s perfect for busy moms on a budget.
Guess what? KILZ is offering From Dates to Diapers readers a chance to win a $500 room makeover!

KILZ brand gives busy moms like you the boost they need to take on a DIY décor project. By visiting www.KILZCleanStart.com, not only can you enter to win a $500 Wal-Mart gift certificate to use for a design project of your choice, you’ll also have access to Lisa’s personal design tips, before & after room photos, and shopping list suggestions on www.KILZCleanStart.com to get you started!
Anyone can enter the contest. Here’s how:
Visit www.KILZCleanStart.com and browse Lisa’s project tips to help pick the room you want to enter for a makeover.

Easy peasy!

i’d redo the master bedroom
I’d do my living room.
I’d love to redo the bathroom!
We are buying a house and need to prime the whole house and repaint to help get rid of the big dog smell.
My living room needs to be painted in the worst way!
My bedroom (really every room) could use a $500 makeover. We’re moving to a new used house in 3 weeks and there is so much work to be done and so little extra cash to do it!
I so need to redo my bathroom. Just got some Kilz but broke my ankle and have not healed enough to get started. To win would be a dream come true at this point.

its not pretty. DH neglected to caulk the tub when he put it in 10 years ago. The water got under and behind the tub and rotted it all away. There is mold everywhere, tiles have falled off the wall, the tub has fallen into the crawlspace. Its awful
My daughter is expecting and i would like to redo a bedroom for my new grandchild
My bedroom and bathroom could use a $500 makeover. If I had to choose between the two, I would choose my bathroom. Being a single mother raising a 3yr old, I never get a chance to getaway, relax or to do anytihng for myself, let alone updating my home. Working full-time and being a single full-time mother would make this makeover my nightly spa getaway. Making over my bathroom would be great! It could be my getaway, retreat or oasis. Just a place to relax after putting my son to be.
My kitchen could use a $500 makeover. Here are a few design ideas from Lisa Laporta and your chance to win a $500 room makeover from the KILZ® brand: http://www.kilzcleanstart.com/index.php?view=Win My kitchen is bright, BRIGHT red and in serious need of a tone down. It needs some Kilz.
I think the bathroom needs it most. We finally own our first home, and it’s amazing how much work it needs once the new-house-smell finally wears off.

The paint’s chipping in my bathroom now, and it’s completely lacking a bathtub — I’d knock out a wall and extend the bathroom into the adjacent bedroom, repaint the walls in a soothing green, and retile the walls for the new tub/shower to make it a dream come true instead of the nightmare it is!

We’ve been waiting to paint the parlor for awhile, and keep getting distracted by other things (like a leaky roof, or box gutters that need replaced, etc. etc.). I’d love to be able to have a few extra $$ to get another room in shape!

The upstairs bathroom in my house is in desperate need of a makeover!
My MBR — it needs freshening. Long story, but believe me, it does.
My apt second bedroom is my craft room, thats turned into a “storage room” I need some shelving to organize it so I can walk a straigt line from my door to my table.
If I win the Grand prize award, I’d have enough to overhaul my entire mobile home ! Just in time for the holidays, too !!!
I have a tiny spare bedroom painted 3 shdes of pink…. yeeeesh
I could really use this money to remodel my bathroom and bedroom. As the mommy my stuff is always last on the list. I just want to create a nice, relaxing space in my bedroom.
The kitchen is in the most need. $500 won’t start the remodel but it might buy the paint or small appliances.
i COULD REALLY USE THIS, NEW GRANDSON COMING IN January, I would love to do one room into nusery just for him, my first grandchild so excited !!
