Yesterday Sara left us the following bit of trivia:
Among the most unusual flavors of ice cream ever manufactured are avocado, garlic, azuki bean, jalapeno, and pumpkin. Perhaps the weirdest of all: dill pickle ice cream , which was marketed to expectant mothers. Sales were disappointing.
As much as I love avocados, I’m not sure I would ever want to eat an ice cream that resembled the flavor of that tasty fruit! Come to think of it, I can’t say that I’ve ever tried any unusual ice cream flavors. However, I would like to try LaLoo’s Black Mission Fig — Made with juicy and tree-ripened organic Valley Orchard black mission figs, this is the first of its kind ever, anywhere.
Did you know that LaLoo’s artisan ice creams come in 15 deliciously creamy low-fat, low-cal flavors, so you can indulge all your ice cream cravings! Besides the Black Mission Fig, some of the flavors I would like to indulge in are Molasses Tipsycake, Vanilla Snowflake, Rumplemint, and Capraccino. This ice cream is what the Wall Street Journal calls the “Holy Grail of Low-Fat Ice Creams.”
Low-fat is right! LaLoo’s is made from goat’s milk and is naturally low fat, low calorie, low in lactose and gluten free with no growth hormones of artificial additives, plus it’s Kosher and carbon neutral too so you can indulge without all the guilt of traditional premium ice creams

Would you like to try some of this tasty goodness from Laloo’s?

Since I’m a picky eater, the most unusual I’ve tried would have to be a Lemon Custard at Rawhide in Scottsdale, AZ, and it was amazing!
I tried Garlic Ice Cream at the Garlic Festival in Gilroy, Ca. I love garlic, but it’s better on pasta!
I had Pumpkin once. It was actually quite good but I never had it since. I’m more of a good old Chocolate gal!

The most unusual ice cream flavor I ever tried was a bite of the licorice that my mother ordered. It wasn’t totally gross, but certainly not one of my favorites.
Thanks so much for this giveaway.
I usually stick to the normal flavors, so I guess the most unusual I ever tried was pistachio! Liked it though – thanks for a great contest!

I don’t think that I’ve tried anything that unusual. I remember once purchasing a cone and the server mixed several flavors together. That was just fun. vidomich(at)yahoo(dot)com
