Looking for Affordable Back-to-School Clothing?

TJMaxx BTS

Just before our vacation we took a trip to our nearest T.J.Maxx and boy, did we find a bunch of great deals! Parents can definitely find everything on their shopping lists, without breaking the bank.

We purchased educational puzzles, games and school supply sets, but I happened to notice that many clothing items, including layering pieces – which are hot this season – backpacks and lunchbags were available for amazing prices.

I got the inside scoop on how T.J.Maxx and Marshalls provide shoppers with such incredible savings…

With more than 900 stores across the country, there is a great deal of buying power behind both chains that allows a lot of flexibility in negotiating prices. T.J.Maxx and Marshalls buyers also buy merchandise closer to the time it is needed in stores, which opens up opportunities to score great deals on current season styles. These are just some of the ways T.J.Maxx and Marshalls are able to offer amazing fashions from department and mall store brands at excellent value.

Visit T.J.Maxx on Facebook to post a tote to your wall and help T.J.Maxx reach their goal!

For every tote posted, T.J.Maxx will donate $1, up to $50,000, to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs, which provide early education, nutrition, physical fitness and literacy programs to children in need.

POP!

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on July 27, 2010

Pop On PalsWe returned home late one evening, from a fun day out and about, to a package on our front doorstep. Not entirely an infrequent occurance, but certainly one that excited my younger two kiddos!

Why? you ask.

Well, the package on our doorstep contained a brand new Pop On Pals Amusement Park Playset, complete with a strong man striker, dragon swing, milk toss game, ferris wheel and roller coaster! Lights, music, and the popping sound that the little Pal made held their attention for quite some time as they figured out how everything worked.

Ben and Noah would have played with the Pop On Pals playset until bedtime had there not been one problem – there was only one Pop On Pal that came with the set.

Their lack of Pals did not prevent the boys from being creative the next day, however. Noah and Ben found some very suitable stand-ins and played for hours! Little People will have to do until we can purchase a Pal Pack or two.

Why I Like Pop On Pals::

Pop On Pals encourage imaginative play and help little ones develop fine motor skills. Pals are the perfect size for small hands to play with and the signature “pop” sound adds to the fun!

I received this playset to review as a member of Team Mom.

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on December 24, 2009

More Than Play!

December 1, 2009

Playskool recently sent us the Busy Ball Popper for Noah to check out. At Playskool they believe that play stimulates the senses, engages the imagination, encourages curiosity, and empowers children’s sense of self confidence by allowing them to discover the world at their own pace. I totally agree! As a homeschooling mom, I also know [...]

Family Game Night

September 20, 2009

As fun as they are, family nights out for our bunch usually put a bit of a dent in our pocket book. Think about it – 8 movie tickets (yes, we do have to pay for Noah now!), popcorn, drinks, red licorice, and M&M’s – now, that’s quite the small fortune! Most often, these days, [...]
