Throw the Ultimate XLIII Super Bowl Party with Pepsi!

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on January 16, 2009

I love a good party, and watching the Super Bowl with a big group of friends is a great reason to get together. I have a confession to make, though – I am not a big fan of football. I know, I know. My husband played in High School and loves to watch a good game, but if it wasn’t for the big Super Bowl game every year, I most likely would never watch!

Now, in case you were plotting against me for this ghastly confession, you will be happy to hear that, in spite of my lack of enthusiasm for football, with the help of Pepsi we’ll be having a bit of a pre-game party right here on From Dates to Diapers! And, of course, any party here comes with a chance to win some amazing prizes. (Read: lots of Pepsi!)

There will be many ways to join the party, any time between now and January 25th, so bring some team spirit and cheer on your favorite team!

Mikala won the Ultimate Pepsi Super Bowl Party Pack:
• 1 football
• 1 beverage pail
• 1 snack helmet
• 2 key chains
• 2 hats
• 2 t-shirts
• 5 Pepsi 24 pack coupons
• 5 Frito Lay coupons

Football’s fun to watch because the players are buff!

Rooting for the Cardinals because I heard a great story about Kurt Warner. Made him seem like a nice guy. Good enough reason for me! :)

I’m cheering for the Arizona Cardinals, cause I always want the underdog to win, and Kurt Warner is a great QB, but for some reason his whole career, people would either give up on him or not give him a fair chance. I hope he can win another Super Bowl, like he did with the Rams a few years ago.

Name another ritualized viewing opportunity which comes with more-than-enough bathroom breaks AND officially mandatory snacks??? And if you’re lucky, you actually get to see a group of people with some significant talents and skills get out and demonstrate strategy and tactics while performing feats of testosterone-driven heroics! What a game day this is going to be!!

Reply

Mollie G. January 24, 2009 at 9:27 pm

I’m just impressed by the Darwinian process underlying the ever-pricier commercials presented for our viewing pleasure and critical review — where else do you get to see the ultimate “high end” models packed so tightly in review? (I repeat, I’m talking about the COMMERCIALS, not the players!!)

Reply

Auriette January 24, 2009 at 9:43 pm

My favorite team since I was a little girl has been the Indianapolis Colts. Of course back then they were the Baltimore Colts. I was never into football, but I did like horses. I used to root for the Colts any time they were on TV, and it would make my dad really mad because always wanted the other team to win. I’ve always kind of wondered if my dad didn’t get so mad at me if I might’ve really gotten into football. The funny thing is, in later years, he bought some property in Indiana and he started liking the Colts!

I’m always a Steelers fan but this year I wouldn’t mind if Arizona gets the win. I’m the biggest football fan in the family. It looks like I’m going to have to work during the game with no TV available so I’ll just have to rely on the internet to keep up with the score.
