Throw the Ultimate XLIII Super Bowl Party with Pepsi!

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on January 16, 2009

I love a good party, and watching the Super Bowl with a big group of friends is a great reason to get together. I have a confession to make, though – I am not a big fan of football. I know, I know. My husband played in High School and loves to watch a good game, but if it wasn’t for the big Super Bowl game every year, I most likely would never watch!

Now, in case you were plotting against me for this ghastly confession, you will be happy to hear that, in spite of my lack of enthusiasm for football, with the help of Pepsi we’ll be having a bit of a pre-game party right here on From Dates to Diapers! And, of course, any party here comes with a chance to win some amazing prizes. (Read: lots of Pepsi!)

There will be many ways to join the party, any time between now and January 25th, so bring some team spirit and cheer on your favorite team!

Mikala won the Ultimate Pepsi Super Bowl Party Pack:
• 1 football
• 1 beverage pail
• 1 snack helmet
• 2 key chains
• 2 hats
• 2 t-shirts
• 5 Pepsi 24 pack coupons
• 5 Frito Lay coupons

Football is an important part of our families week. We are all very busy throughout the week and don’t have much time to sit down and be together. Sunday is our day to just enjoy each other and the game. We put on a big crockpot full of Chili and enjoy 2-3 games together.

We are from Indiana, so of course HUGE COLTS FANS…although my husband is from Michigan and also favors Brett Farve’s team (This year the Jets). For this years superbowl we are rooting for the Cardinals because the Steelers took the Colts out a few years ago in the playoffs!!

This year the superbowl falls on a big birthday weekend in our family so lots of us will be together to enjoy the big game!

I’m a Steelers fan from way back! My oldest son, when he was an infant would get fussy and we’d put him in his swing and turn on some soft background noise (the TV). The one thing that quieted him everytime was FOOTBALL! If I changed the channel, he would cry. He played football from 5th grade through high school. Now my younger two are football players.

I am cheering for the Steelers this year and our annual family football party will be bigger and better than ever!

We spent waaay too much time in Boston, so for the longest time the New England Patriots were our fave rave. Down in Florida these last ten years, kinda nice to not feel tied down — just enjoying the warmth, the commercials, and the mandatory snacks: good enough for us!!

Nothing like a good Super Bowl!!!

The Steelers are always good for a hard played game. And we’re going to have a crowd sharing a couple of flat-screen TVs, so everybody can float wherever they feel comfortable — kitchen, snacking and talking, or TV area, yacking and critiquing. As long as the kids keep the noise to a dull roar, all will be great!
