For as long as I can remember, I have received (or even made or bought myself) a new tree ornament. The first year Ray and I were married, I purchased one with our names and the year etched on it. Each year my kiddos have each received a special ornament that revealed their character. I suppose this has always been a part of our holiday tradition.
Most of my ornaments that are not hand made are Hallmark. And, of course, for good reason… Hallmark is somewhat of a leader in this area. They do have some of the most unique ornaments – from first Christmas together to baby’s first Christmas ornaments and personalized keepsake ornaments – you never can purchase the same ones from year to year!

Find the perfect ornament for each of your family members… Pass them out when you decorate the tree, and be sure to pack them up special when the holidays are over, to bring out again year after year.

we did this in my family as i was growing up and i have kept the tradition going!
That is such a cute idea, Kai usually just gets her year ornament. My mom always got me the daughter ones.
We did this, too- now I have to go find a “baby’s first Christmas” ornament for my soon-to-be-born daughter. Can’t wait!

We have a lot of Hallmark ornaments too. It’s so much fun getting them out when it’s time to decorate the tree. Sometimes I forget what we have and it’s like Christmas all over again!
Before our daughter was born, I told my husband that I would like to start an ornament tradition. The tradition I came up with is meant to be a special bond with his children. I want my husband to buy a new ornament for our children each year. This is our daughter’s first Christmas and my husband can’t wait to start this tradition.
