Sick and Tired

sick

First it was a stomach bug that knocked me out for three days. The three days after Thanksgiving. I slept so much during those three days, thanks to the fact that Ray was home and is more-than-usually-amazing when I don’t feel good.

Come Monday, I felt okay. Just okay. If you want to call tired, drained and feeling blah, okay. People were starting to ask me if I was pregnant. I guess I was acting as if I must be pregnant. I knew, of course, that I wasn’t and tried to convince my inquisitors, but I have to admit I was displaying pregnancy-type behavior…. “I’m tired.” “I just don’t feel good.” “I’m not really hungry. Nothing sounds good actually.”

This last Thursday I was knocked silly again, but this time with a head cold from who knows where. Today, four days after it first hit, I feel worse than ever. My head hurts so bad I can’t see straight and my sinuses literally feel like they’ll explode. I’m thinking sinus infection. Ugh.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Truly.

Especially since there’s no baby to look forward to. {sigh}

Needless to say, I haven’t been able to get much done… My gift guide is not quite finished, giveaway posts are unpublished (I have tons of great stuff to give away, by the way), dishes have piled up, and even school work has taken a backseat today. It’s almost four o’clock and I’m still in my jammies.

It’s time to call in backup.

I wish.

  1. Awwwww, girl. I’m so sorry to hear. I can totally relate to being sooooo far behind that it feels entirely hopeless. That is my state of being.

    But, take heart. You are an amazing woman who accomplishes such a phenomenal amount of work every day. Be easy on yourself.

    Hugs.

    ps. Have you tried Ederberry Juice Extract? I swear by it. I have a cold right now and it is helping me like crazy.

    Well, at the very least, go to the doctor. If you have a sinus infection an antibiotic should help. Take it easy. We’ll be here when you are feeling well again & so will school, & the dishes, etc., etc.

    I’m sorry you are miserable! I hope you get better soon. Last winter I got the headcold from hell and it hung around for two months. One thing that saved me was Afrin Nasal spray. I swear by it! Hang in there!
