What a great idea to reuse the wipes box — I used to let the kids use them to store their small toys in, the ones that are always getting lost because they are so small!

I use vinegar to help take the sting out of bug bites. Fill an empty spray bottle with it and spray on pesky bug bites. Smells a bit but relives the itch!

Save money by putting Original Listerine in a spray bottle and spraying the entire outdoor area you plan to be in this summer. It will keep mesquitoes away for hours. It is very cheap and very “green” for our budgets and our yards.

For easy tick removal apply a generous amount of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and hold it there for 15-20 seconds. The tick will come out on its own and will be sticking to the cotton ball when you remove it. It works every time, and no trauma!

I love to use paper towels to clean spills and every day messes, along with vinegar and baking soda to get up tough stains, and spills.

A great tip I discovered at Scott Common Sense Community Under the Packing Tips from the Pros Categoryis: Stay Healthy & Safe

Don’t forget a small sewing kit and first aid kit.
For longer trips, bring a copy of your glasses prescription or an extra set of contact lenses.
If checking a bag, make sure that you carry on essential medications, your jewelry, camera or other valuables, plus anything you’ll need for an unexpected delay (a change of clothes, toothbrush & toothpaste, etc.).
With swine flu worries, carry a pack of antibacterial hand wipes in a purse, pocket or an outside pocket of your suitcase, and use them often.
Carry on some high-fiber, high protein snacks in case your plane is delayed. Meals may be available for purchase on domestic flights, but there are rarely enough for everyone.
You can’t carry bottled water or other beverages through security. Plan on buying a bottle on the way to your gate. (And drink lots of water on the plane.)

This I found is going to be a great reminder for when we travel next month, it’s a fantastic tip!

I guess I’m a little obsessed with not eating greasy food- I use Scott paper towels constantly to soak up oil on pizza, bacon, and a million other things.

we keep wet papertowels in a ziplock in the diaper bag. They hold up much better than napkins!
