Are Pampers Diapers Really the Best?

My sister found that Pampers Swaddlers were the best for her newborn and now she uses Pampers Cruisers. Here’s her story::
There are probably several different answers and opinions to this question but if you want my experienced opinion, YES, I think Pampers Swaddlers are the best diaper, especially for a newborn!
When we had our first son, we used whatever we had on hand, diapers that the hospital sent us home with and what we were given at my baby shower. All of which included a wide variety of brands from Huggies to Pampers to no-name brands. I remember my frustration as I nursed my son Alex and then within minutes he would have a major blowout! I had to make sure that I always carried a second outfit ’cause inevitably he would need to be changed after a feeding because these stupid diapers would leak a huge mess.
Being a new mommy I had no idea that the cause of blowouts were due to what brand of diaper I used. I just assumed that all diapers were created equal, but that is just not the case. I started to pay closer attention to what I would use and concluded that Pampers Swaddlers were by far the best brand… he would never leak! Once I discovered that I never went back!
Now, we use Pampers Cruisers for our son Isaac. Pampers diapers really are the best brand for us!

I have to agree. I wanted to like Huggies, but Pampers is just so good all-around: nice mesh, good fit, sweet smell…My baby is too big for the Swaddlers so I go with Baby Dry or Cruisers.
I agree 100%. Nothing better than pampers!!
I just conducted a little experiment on this for myself and my 4-month-old daughter. I have to agree, I liked Pampers swaddlers way better than the other brands!
I never thought I would care about such things, but a strong diaper marks the difference between a great day and a disaster day.

I like Pampers.
I’m interested in seeing if these diapers are as absorbent as they claim to be.

I love Pampers, especially the Swaddlers.
I love the pampers diapers and have used them on all my kids. We have another one on the way and will definitely being using Pampers swaddlers when he/she is born! And I could so use the diaper bag, the kids (4 and 2) have used our current one to “stuff” toys in and what insulated pocket there was has been torn apart from the stuffing of toys.

I actually disagree. I love Huggies. I wanted to like Pampers because they smell scrumptious (well, before using them). But my boys always leaked out of them. Now Huggies makes their newborn brand with a “pocket” at the top in the back to catch those pesky blow-outs that go right up their backs. I also find them to be more absorbent as my boys grew older as well.
Maybe I shouldn’t disagree on a post that is about Pampers, but I do!

I have been hearing that Pampers are the best from many people lately! A little pricier, but definitely worth it.
Lots of new babies in the family and one more on the way. I could use some diapers.
I also agree that Pampers are the best, and I do prefer then… however, I still only buy what I can get for the cheapest (usually Huggies). I consider it a real deal when I can get Pampers for cheap (because it doesn’t happen very often)! On a side note, I did just recently try a package of Luvs (they are made by the same company as Pampers) and I really like them!
I agree when you are a new mom you have no idea that the brands are different. We usually use pampers and once we started we have never stopped!
I always used Pampers until I was able to get a great deal on Huggies. While I still prefer Pampers with the economy the best diaper deal wins.

I use pampers cruisers regular right now, i wouldn’t change brands for anything, they never leak, the are flexible and reasonable on price.

I would like to try these on my son to see if they are any better than the original diapers. Right now I use Huggies b/c he leaked every night in any other brand of diaper.
pampers really ARE the best diapers around and we all know it. Even if we buy other things.
I only use pampers… for the record! I’ve tried huggies, fisher price, generic, luvs, everything… but my boys love pampers best… and now that we are having the older one potty train… pull ups are all the rage but Pampers will always be my first choice! ALWAYS!!

Pampers has always been my favorite brand of diaper to use with my children. I find the quality to be far superior to other brands available in the market.
I’ve found that the shape of the baby is what makes the difference between premium brand choice. (The cheaper brands are just that, cheap.) If one premium brand works for you, it’s going to almost always work for you. (Complete blowouts not withstanding!) I do have to say that I did find the granules of (silicon maybe) Pampers linings to come out on the skin of my babes more often though.

Well for a newborn I liked Huggies Supreme. When my baby got a little bigger Pampers were better. Although now we use cloth and it is 100% better no blowouts ever. Of coarse we do not use the old prefolds and pins. When we go on trips I use pampers but they smell horrible when they are wet. Now I hate dispossibles but if I had to use them id use pampers.

Loved the swaddlers for the newborn stage! Huggies are our current favorite, but we use them all! Whatever I can get coupons for.
I’ve used Pampers on all 3 of my kids! Love them!

I have four children ages 2 to 17, and I’ve used every brand. With the exception of a couple, I’ve found no difference in how they hold up between the brands. I’ve had blow-outs with each and every one, so I purchase whichever one is cheapest and holds up just as well as any other brand. Right now, I’m trying out the samples of Pampers new cruisers.
Pampers are most certainly the way to go!!!!

Oh my gosh, I totally remember those blowouts, and like you we found they stopped when we used the Swaddlers. I won’t even buy a diaper cake when friends have baby showers because I don’t want to give away any diaper that isn’t a Pampers. no joke.
Currently use Huggies, but would give Pampers another try!
We used Huggies on the first kid, then switched to Pampers. They are a very good diaper–I’m sold!

Haven’t used Cruisers before, but the Pampers Swaddlers were definitely the best leak protection diapers for our newborn.
I usually can’t afford Pampers but I would to try these.
I have 3 kids and am pregnant with my 4th and I have given other diapers a chance but always come back to Pampers. I have exclusively used Pampers on my youngest, who will be 1 next week!!

Nothing beats a fit better than Pampers Swaddlers. I wish the swaddlers kind had bigger sizes.
I have had good luck with both Pampers and Huggies. So I fluctuate between the two, whenever one brand has a great sale I stock up.

I love Pampers Diapers! I used the swaddlers when my daughter was little – through size 2 and then we now use Baby Dry’s or Cruisers (whichever I find the best deal on!).
