Our Morning With @11dy

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on August 11, 2011

The folks from Elevendy had been chatting with Ray for some time about a photo shoot they wanted to do for us. At first I think there was talk about just shooting Ray and me. After all, the kids brought an element that just screamed work.

So, when Dave and Wil showed up on Wednesday morning to scout the place, I was surprised that they shrugged off the breakfast mess on the kitchen table. This is just what we want. And, if there is no mess when we arrive, we’ll make one!

As they stood brainstorming ideas, I was growing more and more excited. After all, this California-based creative production team has created some amazing stuff, most with a bent towards the theatrical. If you haven’t seen what they are capable of, you must check them out. In fact, go now – visit their Flickr stream. I’ll wait…

Can you see why I’d be excited to be the subject in one of their masterpieces?

Um, yeah.

Well, today was the day. With only about 24 hours to prepare, the Elevendy team and my friend Danielle – who did an amazing job on my hair and makeup, I must say – showed up and we had some fun!

Me, as a 50′s housewife, juggling a squirmy baby and an iPad, in the midst of a ginormous mess.

Oh, and what were the rest of the kids up to?

Well, they were engaged in a food fight…

hanging from the chandelier…

scaling the counter as a superhero…

acting like a hooligan – Lord of the Flies style…

and, hiding under the table, trying to ignore the chaos.

The Elevendy team has quite a bit of work yet to do. I can not wait to see the end result! I’m sure it will be fabulous.

After all, Elevendy only does fabulous.

I can’t wait to see the result as well. I bet it will be something special.
It’s seems unnatural for your kids to make such a mess. They look to sweet :)
