I was never a fan of video games, growing up. In fact, I never thought we would own a gaming system, let alone three. The Wii, DS, and DSi are great family-friendly systems, each with it’s own unique draw. I am happy to share our favorite games with you now, and can recommend each as a great gift idea for the game-lover.

I have always said that MY kids wouldn’t have video games. Famous last words. I got myself a Wii for exercise and now the boys have games too. And, even worse, I actually got DS for my son for Christmas this year. It’s the only thing he asked for. So I would like the Dragonology game for his stocking if I won. Thanks.

Secret Saturdays for the Wii looks amazing
My first choice would be Astro Boy for the Wii. My husband played this game at a friends house once and loved it. I think he could teach my daughter the two player version since she loves playing Wii as well. It sounds and looks like so much fun and is not at all gruesome like some combat games are nowadays. It looks very intriguing because it is very interactive in which you can make and customize your own dragons and learn more about them and their world. My daughter loves interactive games like this.
