Mom of the Week – Casey

Today I have the honor of introducing you to Casey. She has three beautiful little girls who are triplets… And I thought I had my hands full!

I asked Casey to tell us a bit about her and her family –

My husband and I were married in July of 2003 and quickly started talking about expanding our family. We had some fertility issues and began our path of dr appointments, many ultrasounds, tests and medications in hopes of getting pregnant. On our first cycle of injectible fertility medication and IUI, we became pregnant with triplets. My pregnancy was wonderful until we hit 17 weeks and I began showing signs of preterm labor. After 6 weeks of home bedrest followed by 13 days on the Labor and Delivery floor, our girls were born at 25 weeks, 1 day in August of 2005. It took 137 days in the NICU until all of our babies were home with us.

Our girls are now energetic 2 1/2 year olds who keep us on our toes. There is never a dull moment in our home. We are very thankful that our daughters have minimal issues remaining from their premature birth. I started our blog when they were 18 months old and have met so many wonderful moms online. I also enjoy reading and watching movies when I get a spare moment. Exercising should also be on the list too, but I don’t always have the energy! Although life with triplets is busy and demanding, I feel like I am the luckiest mom in the world.

Thank you, Casey, for showing us a glimpse of your life!

Please visit Casey, where you can read more about her family adventures!
