What do the Youngs do to keep cool on a hot summer day? We go to Sonic for ice cream, of course!
Last Sunday was particularly sweltering, with the mercury rising over 100. It didn’t seem quite so hot, though, when noshing on Sonic Blast’s made with real delicious ice cream and chunks of Reese’s, Snicker’s, Butterfinger and Oreo. Yes, we ordered at least one of each. You should have seen the kiddos’ eyes when our server brought them all out on her rollerskates!
Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month? Well, instead of teasing you with details about our ice cream experience, I’d love to offer you some goodies from Sonic, so you can celebrate with some ice cream of your own!

Coffee ice ream with A LOT of sprinkles is definitely my all time favorite.
I’m boring with my ice cream, and I just love plain vanilla ice cream. However, back in NY they make this yummy thing called an iceberg. It’s soft serve ice cream (sooooo much better than hard ice cream) combined with a slushi. I always get vanilla soft serve with a cherry slushi.
My favorite ice cream concoction is Sonic’s current temporary Blast flavor- the Campfire Blast. It’s graham cracker flavored ice cream with little chocolate covered marshmallows distributed throughout.

I can’t have chocolate, but I love peanut butter, so I love to have just vanilla ice cream with spoonfuls of peanut butter added!

My absolute favorite ice cream concoction is Sonic’s Mocha Java Chiller. They are addictive.

We just got our first Sonic in our town, and I’m anxious to try it out. My ice cream choice overall is chocolate and peanut butter ice cream with hot fudge, whip cream and cherries. Mmmm!
