Oh man, you all had so many good ideas for a family fun night with the kiddos. It has been a very difficult decision to choose a single idea and award only one of you with the Flip… I wish I had 244 to give away!
One of the most endearing idea was to have a doorbell ditch-style Service Night, from Parker Family. Other ideas included scavenger hunts, movie nights, game nights, and even camp-outs.
There were many ideas that involved food, getting messy, and ending in a hose-down. CanCan suggested a popcorn-themed night, and Jenna and Melissa both left recipes for some scrumptious homemade ice cream! If I didn’t have a very real fear of spiders, Erin‘s idea to make a Candy Spider Web would be fabulous!
I saw some old favorites in the bunch, and the mama hood even switched it up a bit and suggested a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. Rockin’ Mama thought we should buy an ice shaver and make shaved ice, but what she didn’t know is that we already have one and will be giving one away here at From Dates to Diapers very soon!
Dressing up, puppet shows, watermelon carvings, and pudding art…. The list of great ideas goes on and on. In fact, there wasn’t a single bad idea in all of the 244!
But, alas… I have to choose only one. Sooo, I have decided to have Julia help me. I chose my favorite 10 ideas (even that was torture!) and wrote the names of the entrants on little pieces of paper. But, guess what? It’s almost midnight here in California and Julia is asleep, which means that we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see who wins.
The suspense is killing me, too. Honest.

I really, reallly, really need a video camera, since we don’t have one, and we don’t have any videos of our 1 year old! We’ve already missed one year of her life, and I don’t want to miss any more!
