Mother’s Day Giveaway #1 {Jawbone ICON}

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on May 1, 2010

For The Multi-Tasking Mom

jbIconArtist_165w

Sometimes I feel like life would be easier if I had a couple of extra hands. Instead, I’ve had to perfect the art of multi-tasking, whether it be at home or on the road. After all, there are chores to be done, deadlines to meet, lessons to plan, practices and games to attend, and errands to run.

I recently received the Jawbone ICON (a bluetooth enabled earpiece) to review, and have to say that this tiny piece of intelligence has made multi-tasking easier and less restrictive. Chatting with friends or attending a conference call is much more doable now while folding laundry or standing in line at the post office. The best part? The Jawbone ICON blocks out background noise so I’m not straining to hear or be heard. Pretty important when you consider my six kids are usually helping me with the laundry or are with me while running errands!

just imagine being able to scrape a mixing bowl or pot without screaming ‘I need another hand NOW’… ;-)

Jeanine May 2, 2010 at 8:18 am

With 4 kids this would be amazing! Who doesn’t need an extra hand? especially with so many kiddos! :)

It never fails that my 2 hands are used for chores and cleaning. If I had another hand I’d use it to sweetly rub the face of my kids, or wrap an extra arm around them while washing the dishes. That way it would feel like my house wasn’t taking away time from my kids.

tinycandi May 2, 2010 at 9:09 am

I could always use an extra hand! I multi-task all the time so it would basically come in handy all the time! ;)

Ashley May 2, 2010 at 1:01 pm

An extra hand would let me cook, clean, and run around with my son ALL at the same time! lol No really, it would be really nice. My mom lives out of town, so I call her often and hate having to hold the phone while I change a diaper or fix lunch for my son. This would be awesome! Thanks!

Krista May 2, 2010 at 4:29 pm

Ok, I seriously had to go to the website and look around to figure out what this even was! Does it only work with an iphone? because I don’t have one of those.

Lisa May 2, 2010 at 5:44 pm

Doing cleaning and laundry would go extra fast. That would be awesome!

Deb - Mom of 3 Girls May 2, 2010 at 7:34 pm

I would like to say that I could get a lot of extra housework in, but then I realized – an extra hand = 3 hands. With 3 kids, that’s an easy answer. Hugs for everyone at the same time. :)

Not to mention I could type even faster… ;)

I would use an extra hand to hold my son more often (and more safely). He’s just starting to walk now, but it’s still tough to get to certain places when I’m laden down with a bunch of grocery bags or something like that.

Michelle May 2, 2010 at 9:12 pm

I would use an extra hand to play with my son while doing housework. Thanks for the giveaway!

Tiffany May 3, 2010 at 12:33 am

Definitely for the laundry – the folding and putting away part of the laundry!

If I had an extra hand I would not be so stressed to get dinner on the table and clean the house and have more time to play with my boys! The Jawbone ICON would be awesome, I would be able to wash the dishes and catch up with my phone calls, handsfree calls would mean so many more conversations with my friends and family!

Thank you so much for entering me, Sara

I could really use and extra hand to clean while handling all the interruptions from my kids ;) .

Timbo May 4, 2010 at 7:03 am

I’d honestly be using my extra hand to probably make me life a tiny bit more complicated than it surely needs to be :D I find myself multi-tasking enough already while I talk on the phone, so with this, I’d actually be cooking a lot more efficiently without having to have my head cocked the whole time, to hold up the phone :D

Linda Fish May 4, 2010 at 7:08 am

To help me do houswork

adrienne Gordon May 4, 2010 at 7:14 am

Great contest! With the laws changing about driving hands free is the only way to go!!

Jean D. May 6, 2010 at 11:08 pm

I’d do dishes with that extra hand! I know that may not sound fun to you, but my sisters and I always used to call each other while we were doing dishes. Now that we can’t cradle the phones on our shoulder (as we did with the old-fashioned phones), doing the dishes is a drag, because we aren’t talking with each other as we used to do.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Christie May 7, 2010 at 12:12 am
