It happened…

PhotobucketI knew it would.

With six kiddos, five of whom are boys, it was bound to happen.

I just didn’t think it would happen so soon.

We went through a whole gallon of milk in one day.

Will we now be able to handle the grocery bills?

Stay tuned…

You might consider adding a couple cows to your backyard “garden”!

I am the only milk drinker here and they jump all over me because I drink two gallons a week. But holey moley, a gallon a day! And you can’t deny them milk, it’s not like it’s bad.

I started to track our milk consumption and we came in at 15 for the month! (it’s just my husband, 2.5 year old and I…until Baby C came a couple weeks ago) I was astounded!

Welcome to the club. A gallon of milk and a loaf of bread every day. :)

My sister buys milk at Sam’s Club now. She pays $2.99 for 1 Gallon Skim Milk. $3.33 for Whole Milk. It’s still SOOO expensive, but better than $4.99 a gallon. I’ve also realized that drugstores have great sales on milk because it’s a hook to get patrons in so they’d buy other things. If you can avoid that trap, you can save at least a buck or two on milk.

I am sure its not going to be cheap. Over here a litre of fresh milk cost $3.60.
