Inside the Diaper

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on September 18, 2008

We’re a big fan of Huggies around here… Huggies have seen us through four babies and is currently protecting 2 more (as well as our carpets). We’re hoping to graduate Ben to Pull-Ups here in the next few weeks, as we prepare him for the big step of being potty trained. I’ve always believed that once you start the training you should never go back to diapers, except for maybe at night, so it’s taking me a while to gear up for this one!

Have you seen the Huggies “Inside the Diaper” commercial? It’s pretty funny… Having had 5 baby boys, I can totally relate. If you haven’t seen it, you really should take a look. You may get a good laugh, especially if you don’t have any boys of your own!

Huggies is giving 10 Jumbo packs of diapers to my From Dates to Diapers readers! That means 5 of you will win two packs each!

Here’s how to enter:

  • View the “Inside the Diaper” video clip above, then leave me a comment on this post, before 9pm (pacific) on October 10th, with what you thought of it.
  • For an extra entry in the random drawing, feel free to subscribe to my blog feed , but you must remain a subscriber at least through the duration of this contest. Make sure you leave me a separate comment saying you subscribed.
  • 5 lucky commenters, each chosen at random, will win two coupons that are each good for a Jumbo pack of Huggies diapers. The winners will be notified via email, so make sure you leave a valid email address in your comment.

Good luck!

This giveaway is now closed. Winners will be notified soon.

Already subscribed but I only get a title instead of the whole thing, is that the way it is suppose to be?

Thanks for the contest !

Little Bits Of Everything September 26, 2008 at 12:23 pm

Very Funny, as a mom of 3 boys I have been peed on many, many times. And with two in diapers now it would be soooo awesome to win this giveaway. Oh, by the way Huggies is all I use…love them!

mscoffee77 September 26, 2008 at 2:42 pm

I love that commercial! We have 2 boys in diapers and can relate(not that extremem of course-haha). Thanks for such a great contest:)

That was actually quite funny, I’ve got two boys of my own…one of them is out of diapers but yes he peed everytime the diaper came And my youngest is 4 months so we’re going through that whole bit all over again!

nancy September 27, 2008 at 5:20 am

oh my gosh, am glad I had a girl!

Erica September 28, 2008 at 7:58 pm

That is funny. I have a girl and she does like to pee as soon as I remove the dirty diaper, but don’t have the clean one under her yet. At least it doesn’t spray every where.

It was so funny.

agsweeps October 4, 2008 at 7:00 pm

I think it’s a disgusting commercial and I always change the channel when it comes on. I can’t even look at my own pee or poop when I go to the bathroom. That commercial makes me soooo glad that I don’t have kids of my own. I only watch babies but I’ve never had to change a diaper, thank god. When I finally do have babies, I’m not going to change the diapers. That will be the Father’s job. Ew!

Thanks for the giveaway. My cousin could use these diapers for her little one.

It was a bit unrealistic, but still cute! Thanks for the contest!

That video clip was too funny! If it was a real life “whiz kid” though, I don’t know how funny it would be if I had to change his diaper. What an adorable up and coming actor that little boy is!

I saw that commercial on T.V. as well – it was one of the best commercials ever! I only have one daughter, but have three younger brothers and three nephews and have changed baby boys diapers and unfortunately…. :) know what they’re talking about! I’d love to win some free diapers!!

We’re having a boy in january, and I’ve heard the stories of the pee-fountain! The clip was pretty funny… I thought: wow, that is a very happy, easy going baby to go through the video taping. And, knowing it wasn’t pee shooting out of the baby, I kept wondering what they were ‘spraying’ (hmmm). Thanks for the enterainment! laurachilton {at} hotmail {dot} com

Frances October 7, 2008 at 2:02 pm

I thought the commercial was clever – but the “expose” is pretty silly. The baby looked like he was having fun, though! I’d love to win some Huggies for our little on due in Feb!

ha ha! That was great. 2 boys here, still in diapers!!

Danielle October 7, 2008 at 8:26 pm

After 3 girls, I was blessed with a boy 4 months ago. I can say I have been “sprayed” by both my son and at least 1 daughter so I can certainly relate to that video. As far as funny goes, the video was cute, but not my kind of laugh-out-loud humor.

Ah, all too familiar! Those babies are sneaky AND have good aim.

Anonymous October 8, 2008 at 2:49 am

Video gave me a chuckle.

LaDawn Brown October 8, 2008 at 12:44 pm

Very funny, glad my little one doesn’t do that. ;-)

rebecca October 8, 2008 at 5:09 pm

It’s amazing how much little boys can pee! I feel like I can relate to this poor baby’s dad. I think the first thing my son did when he was born (as the midwife was putting him on my tummy) was pee all over me! Bring on the huggies!

Anonymous October 8, 2008 at 10:32 pm

OH MY! My son never did that.

ky2here October 9, 2008 at 4:54 am

In these troubled times, an appropriate dose of humor hits the spot. Great job.

Laura October 9, 2008 at 8:06 am

Not having any little ones yet, this hasn’t been an issue for me, but it was good for a few much needed laughs. Thanks!

Pretty funny. Remind me of the first time my husband changed our son. We have girl so he had had no experience changing a boy. We both learned really fast to make it quick :)

dhunt October 9, 2008 at 12:33 pm

thanks for the contest!

kal October 9, 2008 at 1:45 pm

My son had some incidents like those – not quite so bad though! My youngest two are girls, so nothing like that has happened yet. Thanks for the contest.

Gianna October 9, 2008 at 9:15 pm

LOL that was funny. I had a moment like the for my son’s first diaper change.

Stacy October 9, 2008 at 10:06 pm

Funny :-)

Adler pees that much, he could really use some more diapers!

Jes October 9, 2008 at 10:24 pm

Wow, I’m glad I’ve never been peed on THAT much! I’m going from two in diapers to just one in diapers and it would be awesome to go a couple of weeks without paying for diapers. Thanks for the contest and the funny video.

I’ve seen that video before. Really funny.

Anonymous October 10, 2008 at 5:47 am

Its a bit much. (My son was pretty good at putting the fires out–and it CAN shoot across the room!)

Jack October 10, 2008 at 6:09 am

Dad needs to cut his hair!

arvard October 10, 2008 at 7:53 am

Funny stuff.

Becky October 10, 2008 at 9:09 am

I love the video! The baby was just the cutest and I liked that they showed Dad instead of the normal commercials who mostly showed Mom. Although us Moms all know who does the most diaper changing LOL.

Thanks for the contest.

Michelle L October 10, 2008 at 12:09 pm

Julianne October 10, 2008 at 1:16 pm

It reminded me of when my oldest son was born. The doctor kept telling me he was a girl the entire pregnancy. The moment he came out he tinkled all over the doctor. I laughed so hard and said, “I guess he is making sure you take notice that he is a BOY!”

Heather October 10, 2008 at 1:21 pm

Now that is something my husband (and kids) would find hilarious but it doesn’t work for me…. Free diapers on the other hand :-)

phogle October 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm

This would sure come in handy

slylady October 10, 2008 at 2:54 pm

Brought back memories of when my boys were babies. I thought it was funny then and seeing the video made me laugh also. That baby was sure a happy baby. My twin great-granddaughters are coming to see me in two weeks so this giveaway would sure come in handy!
