I have never really put much stock in PageRanks. Quite honestly, I still don’t know what they are all about. But, I have a question, and I am hoping one of you out there in Blogland can help me…
I’m sure you noticed by now that my URL has changed. Yup, my wonderful husband decided that it would be easier for people to find me at www.fromdatestodiapers.com instead http://ooohpickme…..yada, yada. Anyone who types in my old address will be re-directed (unknowingly) to my new URL.
Anyway, have you also noticed that my little icon down on my right sidebar, that is supposed to show my PageRank, says it’s at 0? Well, fromdatestodiapers.com does have a pagerank of 0 (I know, surprising, huh? LOL). HOWEVER, I discovered today that my blogspot address – you know, ooohpickpickme.blogspot.com – has a pagerank of 4! (It shows up on that little icon every time I view a post from my blogger account.)
Does anyone know how to get my little ranker to pick up the rank on the old address, so it will show up on the little icon down there? I would greatly appreciate your help!

If you have control over the domain, you do a 301 re-direct.
I did a quick google search and found out that you can do a 301 redirect with blogger. Most of the instructions are for moving to worpress.org (which we’re planning to do–so I was glad to see that)…but I think that means you can do it with your new hosted domain.
Best of luck, chica!
fromdatestodiapers.com is showing up as a 4 for me, I’m using a firefox plugin that shows the page rank of any site I visit.

That shows you as a 4. My 0 followed me to my new addy, unfortunately. I was a 3, but got slapped down for being bad and mentioning that google was slapping people’s page ranks down.
