I would love to be able to tell you that the last several days have been full of busyness, and that I have tons of pictures to show and stories to tell, but really? I’m just not myself these days.
This pregnancy has been hard, and days with my kiddos long. There are lessons to be taught, dishes to be washed, laundry to be folded, bathrooms to be scrubbed, and emails to be sent. But, nothing seems to be getting done. So, there are are still many lessons to be taught, loads of dishes to be washed, piles of laundry to be folded, three bathrooms to be scrubbed, and over 200 emails to read.
Now, my lack of activity is not because I’m lazy, mind you. But, because I am nauseous, tired, and -thanks to these darn allergies – in a foggy state of snot.
Ray came home tonight and made the comment that I didn’t look well.
“Well, Babe, I don’t feel well,” I replied.
I can’t remember the last time I felt well. Oh, yes I can… It was last week. I had a good two days in which I felt great. I remember thinking, “Oooh, maybe the nausea has decided to go away. Maybe my sinuses are clearing up.” Nope.
So, my friends, please know that when you ask me how I’m doing, I most likely won’t say that I’m great…
I’m hanging in there.
P.S. I do have loads of great stories to share, so please don’t let my whiny attitude today dissuade you from visiting again soon.

I’m not gonna let a little bit of “whinyness” make me forget how awesome you are. Just sayin’… Hang in there! You have a bunch of friends and family who love you and think you’re amazing.

Hang in there Mama…pregnancy can be hard. I was on 16 weeks of bedrest with my twins, and 8 of them spent in a hospital bed. Don’t be too hard on yourself. I hope you get to feeling up to par soon *big hugs*
(((hugs)) Pregnancy was very hard on me as well, I thought it would never end. I was on phenergan(sp) the entire pregnancy and even then I had issues!
Hang in there! Take it easy- the house can wait!!

Dont you hate when your DH points it out? Totally different thing but this morning my DH said “your boobs look bigger”. Yeah, thanks idiot. And they hurt like hell too. I have something wierd going on but i had a mammagrom and its not cancer, but no one knows what it is..it just HURTS. Like having preggo boobs all the time…and like a man he points out they look good.
ROFL.
I hope you feel better and hang in there. I didnt find pregnancy fun at ALL and was grateful when it was just ova!

I really hope your pregnancy gets easier as it progresses. {Big hugs} Take care of yourself!
Poor girl! Hang in there! Here’s to better days ahead!
PS: Have you tried using a neti pot for your allergies? I refused to take decongestants when I was pregnant and I have terrible year-round allergies. I think the neti pot was a lifesaver. I couldn’t believe how much it cleared the fog from my head.

I use a neti pot twice a day – once in the morning and once in the evening. I know it helps and do not care to discover how bad I would feel without it.
Now, if only I could find something to curb my nausea. {sigh}
You are an amazing Mom, teacher, wife and friend…however, you are not Superwoman! Don’t feel bad that you are not “up to par” just yet, you are growing another human life! It will get better! Big hugs!!

Ugh — I am so sorry.
I didn’t have morning sickness with my pregnancy, but I did have overwhelming fatigue through the first trimester; it was nearly impossible to do anything. Our poor husbands just don’t get it.

Hugs! Pregnancy is very rarely fun in the beginning and especially draining when you have other kids to care for. Have you talked with your OB about taking something for the nausea? You could even try a slice of fresh ginger root in hot tea. That combined with phenergen was the only thing that worked with my 9 months of day/night nausea. I sure hope you start feeling better soon!

I’ve tried everything, short of prescription drugs. The smell of ginger makes me gag, so I can’t bring myself to eat or drink anything with ginger in it.
I just got a box of B-Natal TheraPops to try… I’m hoping they work.
How far along are you? I’m just shy of 5 months and it has gotten much better the last two weeks. I even cleaned on Saturday! I’m right there with ya most days though so we can be pathetic and whiny together
(((HUGS))) All will be worth it when you have that new babe in your arms!
It would be fantastic to feel well enough to clean my house! I sure am glad you’re feeling better!
I’m 15 weeks now, but if my other pregnancies are any indication, I’m sure to feel like this all the way through.
Hugs! Poor thing, I am sorry you are feeling so icky and I hope it passes soon. Just remember that you can only do what you can, when you can. Just take it a day at a time!!!

I’m sorry you are feeling bad. I had two back to back pregnancies with my boys (they were born a year and a day apart) and I was sooo sick during both and not sure I’d make it through.
Praying for better days and for that yucky nausea and those sinuses to clear up.
Oh my goodness – between the kids, house and homeschooling (not to mention blogging and social media stuff too) I’d be more than exhausted, even with not being pregnant. It’s exhausting to grow a baby, just remember to take time for you along with everything else!

Pregnancy really does take a toll on our bodies. I remember how hard it was just taking care of one while pregnant, so you have my sympathy. Hang in there!
Sorry honey. Hopefully your husband will do the cleaning and child rearing until you feel better so that those dishes and bathrooms don’t come to life and walk away.

I want to hold you in my arms and sing lullabys to you! I hate that you are feeling so lousy and there’s nothing I can do (at the moment). I am praying for you. Relief is on the way!
Love you, Love, me.
For the nausea have you tried lemon? My hubby told me about it when I was preggo with the last little one. I had always had morning sickness…but with my youngest I had ALL DAY sickness. Sucking on slices of lemon (sometimes with a little sugar) or lemon drops made the nausea completely go away though. Nothing else had worked…and I was about ready to give up after doing nothing but losing weight for the first few months. Hubby found out about it from an elder woman he spoke with…and from then on (throughout the whole pregnancy) I didn’t go anywhere without one of those two items…the actual lemon worked better so when I went somewhere (family members’ houses, etc) that I knew I’d have access to a knife or that I could put slices in the refrigerator…I took a lemon! I hope that it will work for you if you haven’t tried it already!!

HUGS and Sympathy for sure.
I hated both of my pregnancies and couldn’t imagine blogging during one of them. My son was worse than my daughter, any dairy I ate made me sick the entire pregnancy, so I tried to eat just a very little and then I was sick because I wasn’t eating enough. I was breastfeeding at the same time, and it was just a mess for me. I hope you feel better soon and that it doesn’t last the entire pregnancy. More Hugs*** @~~~^~~~~~

I am not going to pretend I have experienced the nausea or ‘not well’ feelings of pregnancy, nor that I have an easy answer. I know Robyn did really well with all but the last pregnancy, then she wasn’t her usual self.
I also can’t pretend that I’m some super-sensitive guy who understands any better than any other guy would. Don’t fault us for not getting it the way you do, ladies. God just made us different.
But I give you and all Moms a tremendous amount of respect and credit for doing what you do, before, during and after pregnancy. Particularly when a pregnancy is difficult. Robyn says if all her pregnancies were like the last one she may not have been so thrilled about having a big family.
OK, finally, as a ‘recovering engineer’ I can’t help but try to offer one suggestion. I don’t know if it works for pregnancy nausea, but I know waving an alcohol swab under the nose helps people who get nausea after getting injected with intravenous contrast for CT scans and such. I am told that is also not your garden-variety nausea, so maybe it will work for pregnancy nausea too.
I hope you feel better soon. You are a good Mom.
