An Extra Hour

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on October 29, 2009

ipledgeThis Sunday we turn our clocks back an hour. That means we actually gain an extra hour! How are you going to spend that hour?

Instead of trying to get caught up on work or the laundry {sigh}, consider pledging to spend that hour as special time with your children. When you pledge, Frigidaire will donate $11 to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs AND you will be entered for a chance to win a new Frigidaire Professional double wall oven!

Now, I don’t have that double oven, but I did receive the freestanding range from Frigidaire, due to my participation as a member of the Influencer Team with Mom Central. I have not been disappointed and I’m certain you will be thrilled if you were to win!

Can I tell you about why I am happy with my range? I knew you wouldn’t mind.

  • The stovetop has a continuous grate, making it easy to place my griddle in the very middle, as well as leaving me room to cook on all of the remaining 4 burners.
  • The oven has a pizza and a chicken nuggets setting for perfectly baked food with just a touch of a button.
  • For busy moms like me, who rarely clean the oven, there are two different cleaning setting – Power Plus Clean and Rapid Clean – which means no messy cleaning solutions or scrubbing.
  • And, I can’t forget about mentioning the auto shut-off feature… No need for this foretful mama to worry, because after 6 hours the oven will turn off automatically. I’m not very good about remembering to shut off my iron, either.

All this oven and stove talk, gets me thinking that perhaps my kiddos and I will plan to make some sweet treats on Sunday with our extra hour. Hmmmm….

So, what special activity can you plan, for you and your little ones, for this Sunday?

I received the freestanding range, as well as the entire line of Frigidaire Gallery appliances, due to my involvement in the Frigidaire Test Drive. You can read more about the program in the following posts:
