My kiddos and I love to make and decorate sweet treats around each holiday. Easter is certainly no exception. In fact, last year we created Sweet Spring Gardens to share and had so much fun!
This year, Wilton sent us some great kits to put together. Just the other day we pulled out the Bunny Pops Cookie Kit and my kids, along with some of their cousins, created some edible art.

The Pops didn’t last very long once decorated, but they sure were delish!

Next week we’ll make some candy and just before Easter we get to put together a Bunny Hutch to bring along to our Easter celebration… I am sooo looking forward to it all and will be sure to post some pictures!
Win it!

I like to bake two 8″ round cakes and cut them into the shae of a big bunny head with a bow tie. I let the kids decorate it with jelly beans and other candies. Thanks for the chance.
Growing up we would always color eggs a few days before Easter. Then on Easter Sunday, we have an Easter Egg Hunt. We would also have a picnic and my mom would always make my favorite macaroni and potatoe salad. YUM!

What a fun kit!
My sister and BIL always do an Easter egg hunt for all the nieces and nephew. The ones at the park are crazy…a huge mob of kids (or parents) shoving each other for a few minutes of hunting… We kept all the plastic eggs from last yr so we’ll probably reuse them and just fill them up with different things this yr. =p After the egg hunt, my sis and BIL help the kids dye eggs.

we love to dye eggs together the day before. The kids are so creative at their colring ideas.
my favorite Easter tradition is dying (& stuffing candy in plastic) several dozen eggs with the kids and then donating them for our church’s egg hunt- the kids love participating in the hunt with their friends after church on Easter.
The Easter Egg hunt is always really fun!

We go to church and celebrate and then when we get home we put up a yarn maze all around the house with each kid having a different color yarn and they have to unwind all their yarn to receive different candy and gifts attached to the yarn instead of just putting it all in an easter basket.
Easter afternoon, the family went to spend the rest of the day at a nearby mountain. (To burn off all those jellybeans?) At least that meant we got to take off our new Easter clothes we got for church – NOT my favorite part, becuase new church clothes were NEVER comfortable!
My favorite tradition is that we fill plastic eggs with candy and hide them around the house for the kids.

We always have an Easter egg hunt. There is usually one plastic egg that contains money in it and then there are others that have special gifts in them as well. Each child only is able to get one of the special eggs. Then the older children help the younger ones find eggs.
every easter, we make sure to have portuguese sweetbread with an egg in the middle of it
I always loved the easter egg hunt except for the year we couldn’t find one and it was in a light and exploded when the light was turned on.
we live out of town and have a large backyard bordered by woods-we have an easter egg hunt for our 3 young grandchildren its such a great and funny time for us

We like to color eggs and go on an Easter egg hunt.
well every Easter we always color eggs however this year will be my little girls first Easter so this will be extra special
Dinner with family is our tradition
We put together some baskets of treats and toys for the kids, watch some fun Easter movies and have a ham dinner.
Growing up in Northern California, Easter was usually rainy, so we always had a jelly bean hunt inside my grandparents house instead of an Easter Egg hunt outside. We have continued that tradition with my kids at their grandparents house. I look forward to it each year.
It’s a tradition at our house to make a bunny cake
We all go to my brother’s house and eat lunch. We then take all the kids out to hunt eggs. It’s so much fun and I look forward to it every year. Thank you!!
I like watching our children searching for Easter eggs and their Easter baskets followed by a big dinner.
First we have an egg hunt, then our family all goes to a fancy German restaurant called The Edelweiss.
Love the bunny pops!
Every year we have made it a tradition to go to my brother-in-law’s parent’s ranch the day before Easter. We have an Easter egg hunt and let the kids run wild! It is the highlight of their year! Easter day we enjoy time with the family here in town.
We don’t do traditional Easter bunny baskets, we usually participate in our church’s activities/ festivity for the community and we have our own tradition called “dash for cash” @ home. Since mom has a job that entails being @ work on any particular holiday, we tend not celebrate the holi-”day”. We are intentional @ the moments or events around the season. Celebrating lent is a traditional way to express a devotion to the Lord in remembrance of resurrection Sunday. We havn’t expressed that idea yet to our kids though. Our “dash for cash” is when plastic eggs w/various amounts of coins & cash are hidden & the kids are in a race to find the most eggs! Then they can choose what to do w/ their own cash! It gives us an opportunity to discuss charitable donating/ tithing, provision, gift giving, ect. Some of the plastic eggs also have various items in them, instead of $, to remember Jesus resurrection. Those resurrection eggs, lead to other related prizes @ the content of that resurrection egg. Even a fieldtrip/activity!
I like leaving a trail of jelly beans from my daughters bed to the easter basket. We also go to a citywide easter egg hunt and brunch. Thanks for the chance.

Easter is such an important holiday in our family. We colour Easter Eggs on Holy Thursday before the sun rises and spend the day baking Easter Bread, cakes, and making home made chocolates. Good Friday is a day of rest and church service and then Saturday we do an annual Easter Egg hunt for all the children in the family and do many relay related activities and a nice afternoon tea with the elders in the family. Midnight mass is followed by a traditional 2am breakfast with all the helpings as lent has ended and the kids go crazy for everything they have given up! Easter is basket time, followed by church service and then an Easter feast feast prepared by grandma with all the old school European delicatessies we had growing up. Nothing better than a holiday full of tradtion, family and ofcourse food!
No matter how old we get, my family loves Easter Egg Hunts!!
My families favorite tradition Easter tradition is making confetti eggs and then busting them in the backyard. Everyone also really enjoys decorating eggs and making Linzer cookies.
In my home, the Easter bunny leaves baskets outside the front door for the kids before church. After church, the extended family gathers at my grandmother’s for lunch and a huge Easter egg hunt.
We try to find a new way to decorate easter eggs each year. one year we dyed the eggs (after peeled) with beet juice. Makes the most gorgeous color of purple and all healthy to eat! Weird but fun!
Coloring and hiding (a million times) the eggs are my little ones favorite activities.
We usually go to church first thing in the morning then come home have lunch go to grandma’s house and hide eggs there!

We dye eggs the night before and then hide baskets and eggs for the kids to find and then on to church and a great meal afterward. It’s very different not having family around but we try to make our traditions fun!

Our church egg hunt the older kids help the little ones–so my kids don’t really get to take part–so I make one for them. I have 3 kids Matthew gets blue and green eggs, Stephanie gets orange and yellow eggs, and Jackie gets pink and purple eggs. I hide the eggs throughout the living room when you find one of your eggs you open it and complete the task. The tasks vary depending on the kids ages and can be anything from write 10 nice things about your sister, write about what you would like to do this summer, color an Easter egg, make your bed, draw a picture of our family, white Grandma a letter etc. Once all the eggs are collected and tasks completed they each get a clue but the have to put all their clues together to figure out where the Easter Bunny left the baskets.

We have a huge Easter egg hunt for the kids and a dinner at my aunt’s house. We spend the weekend before Easter stuffing over 1000 eggs! Thanks!
We make Easter Bunny “footprints” all over the outside of the house. We use a piece of cardboard as a stencil and cut out a giant bunny foot shape. We then use powdered sugar to stencil footprints all over. The kids go crazy chasing the bunny around in the morning trying to catch him.
We usually make Easter Cookies and then Easter dinner…that’s about it

Having a wonderful dinner with family, and hiding eggs in the backyard for the kids.
We dye eggs and then the Easter Bunny hides them for the children to find. He also hids chocolate filled eggs too.
My best friend and I always spend the Saturday night at her house with all of our kids and our mates. We have a nice Easter dinner and then the kids go to bed and wake up to the blossoming “jelly bean tree” (that we adults have stayed up all night doing!) before they go on the annual easter egg hunt. When they were quite little it was totally magical to them. Now they pretend to believe the tree sprouts but they know the amount of work we put into it!:)
my favorite tradition is reading from the bible about the resurection of Jesus wih my family.
my favorite tradition is going to see the easter bunny..i love the reaction i get..so far this year he is too scared to go..but i will keep trying

First we have an egg hunt for children, than we have an egg hunt for the adults. For the adults we put money in the plastic eggs.
Having an egg hunt for my little girl is the best tradition to me!
Our favorite Easter tradition is meeting with the whole family for brunch.

Out here in Texas we make confetti eggs. Leading up to Easter, we don’t crack eggs but rather break them gently on one side to remove the contents. The shells are later colored you would with boiled eggs. Then you allow the shells to dry, after dried fill them with confetti and seal the confetti in with tissue paper. You then break these over someone’s head on Easter.
mine is hiding the easter baskets and then leaving the kids clues to find it
