Cool, crisp breezes. Comfy, cozy sweaters. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Long pants and tall boots. Autumn is my favorite time of the year.
If only the weather would cooperate. Unfortunately, with clear skies and temps in the 90s and 100s, there is not a bit of Autumn in the air.
Yet.
You can bet that, as soon as the leaves begin to change and the weather cools, I will be relishing the change of season. There is nothing about the Fall that I dislike, but my favorite (second only to the weather) is the Fall fashion. These are the clothes in which I am most comfortable and comfort is only made possible with a great fit and good shoes.

What I love most about fall is cozy big sweaters, snuggling in blankets, creamy hot cocoa, fuzzy slippers, and apple hill trips. It’s my favorite time of year because its when most of our family traditions happen.

I LOVE FALL! Yes, it’s been ridiculously hot during the day but the cool crisp mornings and evenings are magic! The chill is just enough to warrant a light sweater and it makes you feel safe and warm. My kids actually want to cuddle with me or they let me give them a giant hug to warm them up. The air smells cleaner and lighter and when it’s truly fall, I can run any time of day and it feels amazing! I can run faster and farther, cleansing my soul because I’m not worried I’ll pass out from heat stroke. Oh,, and the goodies…YUM! (another reason i run longer!) Pumpkin bread, cakes and muffins. A trip to Apple Hill for more deliciousness, and Thanksgiving! A holiday centered around good food, family togetherness and remembering all that we have been blessed with in this life. The intense beauty of leaves changing colors and giant piles of them on my front lawn for all the kids in the neighborhood to jump in and toss in the air. Fall rejuvenates me, calms me, and humbles me.

I love that it’s cozy! I live in the midwest, so October means warm scarfs, lovely hats, and toasty lattes. It is my absolute favorite time of year. Everyday feels special!

I love the cooler weather and watching the leaves change colors.
We live in the woods and heat with a wood stove which I also cook on when it’s cold. I love the smell outside from the smoke of the stove in the house and coming in to the warmth. Sitting down with a cup of hot coffee perked on top of the woodstove in an old coffee percolator. I also love putting flannel sheets on the bed and bringing out the old quilts. Our 4 Jack Russells love the nip of chill in the air and going on long walks through our Ohio hills, we have almost 10 acres and do a lot of hiking in the fall. Surrounded by pine and hardwood, the colors of the leaves changing is gorgeous, and the smell of pine is relaxing to me. I love our fire pit by the small deck and sitting in the evening with my husband in our golden years, not saying much, and not having to.
I love seeing the change of the leaves and the colors. I love to go for a walk in the cooler weather and hear the crunch of the leaves underfoot. I love the college football games and the tailgaters that are during this season.
I love turning off the AC and opening the windows.

I live in the New Orleans area so the fall means a LOT to me. First, it generally means that hurricane season is over which is a big relief especially after being hit with a hurricane dead on this year. Second, it means that the temperature starts dropping because summer is so very hot and my electric bill goes down (and who doesn’t love that). But what I love most about fall is the smell. The air is so crisp and I love when iris a little cool out and I can open my house and just relax with a good book. And third, I love being able to wear something other than shorts and sandals. I love a cute scarf and my fall wardrobe (what I have left after hurricane Isaac).
