Gru delights in all things wicked, until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.
One of the world’s greatest super-villains has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
Ray and I had the opportunity to pre-screen Despicable Me, with all of our kiddos, and I have to say that we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Ethan and Zach sensed the “deep meaning” of the movie and acknowledged how “cool” it was that “Gru’s heart was softened by love” and that he “gave up his evil ways.” Julia, being the girly girl that she is, thought “the little girls were sweet.” And Ben and Josh thoroughly enjoyed each scene with Gru’s funny little yellow minions! Believe it or not, this 3D film even kept the attention of little Noah who, like most rambunctious almost-3-year-olds, has the propensity to squirm, fidget & and try to escape.
If you and your family are looking for something fun to do this weekend, we all would highly recommend an afternoon at the theater to see this fun movie!

My husband and I have unofficially “adopted” some children in our neighborhood that could use one on one time, positive influences, and some extra-encouragement (their parents are great, but they have a LOT on their plate right now, and since we are in a position to help- why not?) Since we are newly weds (with no children of our own 13 year old boy, and his younger sister- age 4. Both of them have expressed an interest in this movie, and although not one I originally intended on seeing, I know it would be a great treat for us to take them out for a movie and – the gift card would certainly make it easier to treat everyone out for an evening. Love reading the blog- and whether or not we get your giveaway package I’m certainly hoping to see this movie soon!
Family movies nowdays are pretty limited and we always take advantage at every opportunity, but honestly, I was hooked on the “it’s so fluffy!” line!

Personally I’d love to see “Despicable Me” because I love that it features a single dad as its hero and protagonist – and an admirable one at that – and the fact that many SNL and “30 Rock” cast members add their voices to the film all but ensures this one will be a winner. Thanks!

Great to hear that the 3D kept the attention of your 3 year old. I don’t have any kids in the house anymore but I go anyway. Funny story tho. I have a 34 year old daughter that I can’t get to go with me cause she hates 3D. Guess not all kids attention can be held by the 3D.
