heart I have a heart shaped cake pan but instead of cake I make heart shaped red jello! It’s fast, easy and better on the waist line. @orgjunkie

heart Bath and body products (ie, massage oils, herbal bath, honey bath from Organically Happy) @ohappy

heart maybe send your loved one a special email with a song that has some great meaning to you and them. @trackthejuice

heart Check out my create a date v-day ideas @ Party Planning Professor @partyelizabeth

heart I always give my wife my gift two days early. 1 so she could gloat at work. 2 so all the other men have a day to match me. @JohnPruitt

heart Some good Valentines gift ideas can be found on bizymoms.com/valentinecontest; also a great gift is the Sircuit Skin care $40 pack! @Bizymoms

heart Check out mydearvalentine.com for some great ideas, from poems to gift ideas and crafts. @loveandromance

heart we buy a new game as a family, make cupcakes and heart shaped pizza, and make valentines for the nursing home. @tmmetz

heart find frugal gift ideas @ survivingthestores.blogspot.com @survivingstores

heart Every year we get those cheap sprinkles from the Target Dollar Spot, and then we make jell-o on a cookie sheet and fill it with the sprinkles. I then take heart and lips cookie cutters and cut them out. This creates an almost sugar free treat on VDay which is great because they get SOOOO much candy at school and stuff, but it is something we can make together… @jamieHarrington

heart We like to make heart shaped sugar cookies, ice them with pink icing, and pipe “SweetHeart” sayings on them, like the candies. @momoffaith

heart Last minute Vday ideas: make heart-shaped brownies with pink icing. Make a personalized insert for a coffee mug. @HollyV

heart Homemaking911.com has some great ideas! @MaliaMR

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on February 3, 2009

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, Walmart and Nestle have given us some pretty sweet ideas for making this Valentine’s Day special, even if you are on a tight budget.

  • Make a playlist – What are your top 10 romantic songs? Click on each chocolate in the heart-shaped box to see what the ElevenMoms chose as our top 10. Maybe you’ll see some of your favorites in there. My pick was From This Moment, as it was sung during my wedding ceremony almost 10 years ago!
  • .

  • Send a photomasaic eValentine – Upload a picture and let the magic of color tranform your picture into an M&M mosaic to send to your sweetie.
  • .

  • Blow your sweetie a kiss – The Blow a Kiss iPhone application allows you to send a message and digital HERSHEY’S KISS to your Valentine this season. Just enter their information, your custom message, and then blow into your iPhone microphone to send your loved one something extra sweet.
  • .
    Guess what?

Each of the ElevenMoms have been given the privilege of surprising ya’ll with a very special treat – We are all giving away an iPod Touch (2nd Gen), 8GB and a $10 Walmart gift card, so you may purchase the entire Top 10 Romantic Songs playlist! Entering does require a bit of work, so be prepared.

To enter to win an iPod Touch here at From Dates to Diapers, you must first listen to my BlogTalkRadio show, Mom-2-Mom, today at 10am (pt). I will give you a secret word which you must have in order to enter. No worries if you don’t catch the show live, Mom-2-Mom is available On Demand. You may, of course, listen to them all, but it’s the Fun Valentine’s for Kids episode that contains the secret word.

You must enter the correct secret word in order for your first entry to be valid. There are a few additional ways you may enter, each earning you another entry. Leaving a comment here DOES NOT count as an entry. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW!

Additional entries are received in the following ways:
