I know you are excited to see what fab green items are in this gift pack, right? Well, without further ado, here’s a peak at the loot:

As one of Walmart’s 11Moms, I was given the opportunity to “test” each of these items before agreeing to give you a chance to win some of your own. You know I have to make sure that the items I talk about here at From Dates to Diapers are buzz-worthy. Anyhoo, here are my anecdotal thoughts on each of these products:

I got to use the Bissell Little Green Deep Cleaner pretty quick! With a huge strawberry stain in the middle of my living room, I gave it a test run just after finding it on my doorstep. The little bottle of cleaner it came with was gone in no time as I extended my test run up the stairs… That little sucker (and I mean that in the best possible way) is great on tough stains and spills! I’m sure you’re wondering what makes this little machine earth-friendly, right? Well, it’s parts are made from post-consumer recycled plastic and has PVC-free tanks and hose. The packaging is even eco-friendly.

At the beginning of the year I talked about the Brita Water Pitcher. Filtering water through these pitchers are an ideal solution for reducing bottled water waste. But in addition, the Brita pitcher can effectively replace 300 plastic water bottles, which can also save the average person more than $145 a month. How’s that for saving money and living better?!

Most of you know how much laundry I have to wash each and every day… Well, with Tide Cold Water I can wash clothes all day long and know that they will be clean and fresh, even if I was in cold water. And, with five boys and a very active girl, that’s sayin’ a whole lot!

I try to get my kiddos in on the action whenever I have chores to do around the house. Letting them use safe products such as Clorox Green Works Cleaners and White Cloud “Green Earth” Paper Towels (not shown) has given me peace of mind. I know that letting my kids use these products to help wash windows or wipe countertops, are not only effective in getting my surfaces clean, but they won’t harm my kiddos or the environment. With all of this window crayon all over my glass doors these days, my kiddos are getting their fair share of clean up time!

Now that you’ve seen the items you can win, I do hope you will help us discover some of the best green tips by entering my giveaway. Remember there are three ways to enter, so give me your best shot!

What are you doing?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send “updates” (or “tweets”; text-based posts, up to 140 characters long) to the Twitter website, via short message service (e.g. on a cell phone), instant messaging, or a third-party application such as Twitterrific or Facebook.

Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and instantly delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. The sender can restrict delivery to those in his or her circle of friends (delivery to everyone is the default). Users can receive updates via the Twitter website, instant messaging, SMS, RSS, email or through an application. For SMS, four gateway numbers are currently available: short codes for the United States, Canada, and India, as well as a United Kingdom number for international use. Several third parties offer posting and receiving updates via email.

From the Twitter Newsletter:

Last weekend CNN lead with a big story about James Buck, a graduate student in journalism from the University of California-Berkeley who was arrested last month in Mahalla, Egypt while covering an anti-government protest. Thinking quickly, James was able to send a one-word Twitter update: “Arrested.” His followers in Egypt and back in the US reacted by contacting the university and the consulate on his behalf. Before long, James was updating Twitter with another one-word message, “Free.”

Do you follow me?

People tweet for a variety of reasons. For some it is an alternative to the traditional blog. All of your tweets are saved and archived for later reference, so you will never forget what you were doing at any given moment. It would be kind of a neat way to record your kiddos milestones, don’t you think?

I jumped on the Twitter band wagon at Camp Baby. It was so much fun reading the tweets from everyone during some otherwise dull sessions. I now tweet to build my online community and have made a ton of new friends. I follow such a diverse bunch of people – moms, dads, CEOs, PR folks, democrats, republicans, bloggers, teachers, Christians, and Mormons… the list goes on!

What are YOU doing? I would love to know. Leave me a comment with your twitter handle and I’ll follow you. Or, better yet start following me and I’ll follow you back!
