Timmy :: King of the House

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on April 1, 2013

I was reading through some guest post submissions and found the following, written by Julz last November…

Timmy is in the house! It’s so much different when he was not here – which isn’t often. He is the little king of the house!

He is growing up so so fast. I am really sad he is my last BABY brother, but happy because I don’t have to change any more diapers!!!

When my dad told me that we were going to have another baby, I really thought it was going to be a girl. This is what my dad said (for some weird resen I remember exactly what he said!) -> ”You know why mommy has been sick? It’s because there is a monster in her stomach! No, not really — she has a baby in her tummy!” I was so happy and that seems so long ago! Timmy is so big now!

When Mama’s Away…

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on May 30, 2012

Last week, when I was in Orlando, I received a text from Ray with these pictures of Timmy. Apparently he made a big ol’ mess of powdered sugar and chocolate. Boy, was he a happy – albeit busted – little booger!

Caught Red Handed

Remember the photo that Ray posted the other day? He asked you to create a caption for it and you did not disappoint! Check out what y’all came up with.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering what happened. Well, rest assured that Timmy was not harmed. Nor did he harm anyone. He did, however, find my gel food coloring and managed to create a faux crime scene!

But, what a scare he gave me!!

What happened?

It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard to Change Your Squirmy Baby

February 8, 2012

Tiny Tim is an active little monkey these days, just like his older twin brothers were at his age! At any given moment you can find him climbing on to the table, trying to get in to the empty bathtub, or worse. He certainly gets a workout as he tries to keep up with his […]

Let Freedom Ring…

July 4, 2011

It was Timmy’s first Independence Day. I have to say that I think he really enjoyed all of the fanfare. But, the bright fireworks and loud noises could only be handled for a short time…. And, then the yawns started forming.

My Sweet Baby Boy

June 11, 2011

Timmy has been sick. For three weeks he’s been miserable. First teething. Then the flu. And now, he has pneumonia. My poor baby has had a rough time. And his mama’s heart aches to see him so miserable.

No Sleep

May 26, 2011

All of my babies are sound asleep. I really should be sleeping, too. After all, my best piece of advice for new moms is to sleep when Baby does. In all honesty, I was about to call it a night when I realized that it had been five (maybe four – I’m too tired to […]

April 29, 2011

I captured on film Timmy’s first taste of table food. It was a delightful two minutes of video wherein he cooed and giggled as he tasted oatmeal and bananas. Unfortunately, however, that video (along with over 400 photos) will never be seen again due to the fact that they were eaten by my laptop. {sniff} […]

Nursing Teething Timmy

April 8, 2011

Timothy has had a rough couple of days. Only two places seem to bring him any solace, although he’s still not quite comfortable in either. Poor baby. We’re expecting teeth to pop through those swollen gums any day now. Hopefully sooner, rather than later. For his sake. And mine.

Tummy Time For Timmy

March 24, 2011

With the rain preventing us from venturing too far from home, the kiddos and I are beating the blues by staying busy. One thing we’ve been doing more of these past few days is getting down on the floor with Timmy. Not too long ago I picked up a tummy time mat for him at Walmart. I […]

What a Joy

February 11, 2011

Do you ever feel like time just speeds on by us, without so much as a backward glance? I know that all of my children are growing right before my eyes, but it’s most obvious as I watch my sweet little baby boy who happens to be FOUR MONTH OLD today! Crazy, huh? Sometimes I […]

February 6, 2011

I think my sweet baby boy is teething. Already? Can this be? You be the judge… Swollen cheeks (and swollen gums). Very sad (and sometimes grumpy) faces. Gnawing on his hands (and anything else he can get in his mouth). All tell-tale signs, I say . What are some other symptoms Not-So-Tiny Tim is displaying? […]

Sleep. Oh, how I miss thee.

December 7, 2010

I’m tired. No, I’m exhausted. I have barely been able to keep my eyes open all day. I haven’t slept more than an hour at a time in months. Almost two months, to be exact. Last night? I may have gotten a total of two hours of sleep all.night.long. Why? Timothy. Timothy likes his mama. […]

Kids’ Talk :: Timothy

November 8, 2010

Just days before our littlest guy was born, you heard all about what our older children thought about his coming arrival. Can you believe Timothy is already 4 weeks old? Well, we were curious about what the kiddos all think now. Watch as Ray asks them all about life with a new little brother…

Sweet and Cozy

November 7, 2010

Sacramento baby photographer, Jill Carmel, offered to take photos of my kiddos this last Spring. It didn’t work out, for many reasons – one being the fact that the photo would be incomplete without the baby I was baking. I truly am so happy we waited, because Jill came to our home and took some […]

Newborn Bliss

October 22, 2010

Words can not express how much I have enjoyed soaking up every single moment with my precious baby these past 11 days. Even though Timothy is Baby #7 I feel like I am able to really enjoy having a newborn for the first time. I know that may sound weird, but I was overwhelmed with […]

5 days old

October 15, 2010

We had Baby Timothy’s follow-up appointment with the pediatrician today, so we decided to make a family outing of it. Mama’s tired, but Baby is good – a bit jaundice, but nothing that a little sunlight won’t help. Timmy is almost back up to his birth weight, too, weighing in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces!

Meet Timothy Charles Young

October 13, 2010

Just a couple of hours after Ray recorded my last prego update on Sunday afternoon, I went in to labor. But, not before my mom and sisters threw me a lovely surprise baby shower! A wonderful afternoon with the girls is just what I needed before welcoming Timothy Charles in to the world. Boy, was […]
