It Doesn’t Have to Be Hard to Change Your Squirmy Baby

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on February 8, 2012

Tiny Tim is an active little monkey these days, just like his older twin brothers were at his age! At any given moment you can find him climbing on to the table, trying to get in to the empty bathtub, or worse. He certainly gets a workout as he tries to keep up with his siblings. As do I.

One of Timmy’s favorite things to do is run away from me when I try to change his diaper or clothe him after a bath. He’s the classic “stunt baby,” as seen in the video on Huggies’ Squirmy Baby Central.

See how other moms diaper their squirmy babies…

Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diapers have made diaper changing easier for me and Timmy. These Slip-Ons come in sizes 3, 4, and 5, fitting children 16lbs – 27lbs+ and feature comfortable, stretchy sides, adjustable tabs for easy removal, and Huggies’ unique Leak Lock system for excellent absorption.

Stock up on diapers and shop conveniently online at Walmart.com

Baby Smells (A Giveaway!)

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on September 18, 2008

Now, we all know what is inside the diaper, but where do you put the stinky ones? With my older three kiddos, I just had a garbage pail in our garage where I would dispose of diapers. I had heard that the disposal systems didn’t really help in eliminating the powerful smells of a dirty diaper, so I didn’t bother.

I did receive an original Diaper Genie as a gift when I had Josh, but it wasn’t worth keeping after I had Ben, so I was super excited to try the new Diaper Genie II Elite… It is incredibly easy to use and the Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial, built into the plastic, really does inhibit odor-causing bacteria. I don’t know about you, but that stinky diaper smell is not on my list of favorite scents!

Did you know…?

The ability to smell is well developed before an infant is born. It is an important sense that is needed for survival, and it plays an instrumental role in bonding to parents. Developing preferences and aversions to smells is a journey for infants and children that takes place over the early years of life and involves many exciting discoveries.

Visit BabySmells.com to learn about the new product and find out more about how babies associate smells, watch weekly webisodes, order free decorative decals for Diaper Genie pails and enter the ‘Smelly Tales’ contest with a chance to win $5,000.00. I have a great story that I am planning to enter!

Enter to win a Diaper Genie II Elite!

Here’s what you have to do:

  • Share one of your smelly tales with me here in the comments, before 9pm (pacific) on October 10th.

Inside the Diaper

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on September 18, 2008

We’re a big fan of Huggies around here… Huggies have seen us through four babies and is currently protecting 2 more (as well as our carpets). We’re hoping to graduate Ben to Pull-Ups here in the next few weeks, as we prepare him for the big step of being potty trained. I’ve always believed that once you start the training you should never go back to diapers, except for maybe at night, so it’s taking me a while to gear up for this one!

Have you seen the Huggies “Inside the Diaper” commercial? It’s pretty funny… Having had 5 baby boys, I can totally relate. If you haven’t seen it, you really should take a look. You may get a good laugh, especially if you don’t have any boys of your own!

Huggies is giving 10 Jumbo packs of diapers to my From Dates to Diapers readers! That means 5 of you will win two packs each!

Here’s how to enter:

  • View the “Inside the Diaper” video clip above, then leave me a comment on this post, before 9pm (pacific) on October 10th, with what you thought of it.
  • For an extra entry in the random drawing, feel free to subscribe to my blog feed , but you must remain a subscriber at least through the duration of this contest. Make sure you leave me a separate comment saying you subscribed.
  • 5 lucky commenters, each chosen at random, will win two coupons that are each good for a Jumbo pack of Huggies diapers. The winners will be notified via email, so make sure you leave a valid email address in your comment.

Good luck!
