My father-in-law sent my kids a Butterfly Bungalow from Insect Lore, along with five live caterpillars. Every one of my kids were thrilled, especially Ethan, Zach and Julia, as they remembered when we watched the miraculous metamorphosis of a butterfly years ago.
My kids loved watching each of these fuzzy little creatures turn into an iridescent chrysalis and finally emerge as beautiful Painted Lady butterflies. The best part? Watching these dainty creatures flutter around our backyard on a beautiful sunny day last week.
When I was a kid, we listened to The Music Machine and songs from Agapeland Music. It’s been ages, but every time I think of butterflies, the song Bullfrogs and Butterflies comes to mind. It’s an adorable song about how both are “born again.”

LOVE IT!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that song. Old Motown songs remind me of my childhood because I spent a lot of time with my aunts (my mom’s younger sisters) and they always had music playing.
