Y’all know we’re having a baby, but did you know that we should be able to find out the gender of Baby Young on Wednesday? I can hardly wait!
In fact, I’m so tempted to run out and buy an Intelligender test, so I don’t have to wait. I hear these tests have a high rate of accuracy, so it’d be kind of fun to see what it says so I can compare the results to Wednesday’s ultrasound. Have you ever heard of this test? Should I try it?
Honestly, I think we’re having another boy. Not because of how I’m carrying this baby, nor because of how I feel or look. Obviously boy genes are extremely prevalent, being that we already have five boys and Julia was the first girl born in the Young line in over 100 years. More than all that, perhaps, I’d like to think we’re having a boy simply so I’m not disappointed when we discover Baby isn’t a girl. {sigh}
Of course we will be sharing our discovery, if Baby cooperates. We’ve had a girl’s name picked out for quite some time, but just settled on a boy’s name today, so y’all will be some of the first to know Baby’s name, too!
In the meantime, I’d love to know what YOU think… What’s YOUR hunch?

I vote for a girl
I heard another mommy blogger talk about that test, she took it and it said boy, but her ultrasound showed a girl
so I

m not sure how accurate those tests are
But I can’t wait to hear what you’ll be having

Isn’t it exciting! I’m expecting my 14th grandchild in July and my daughter doesn’t live in the same country as me. She knows the sex and WON’T TELL ME!
Somehow, it’s more exciting knowing that she knows … do you understand?
I only pray you ALL have healthy, wonderful babies and easy labors!

Statistically speaking, you are due for a girl so I’m placing my bet on that one. I actually did try the Inteligender test with my last pregnancy and the color practically screamed girl … low and behold, we had a baby girl. In fact 90% of the old wives tales, prediction charts and what not also predicted a girl. Of course, I realize they are all just for fun but it does keep you guessing and entertained until ultrasound day.
I’m curious, have you ever had a surprise delivery and wait to find out the gender? I’ve always wanted to do that but I’m just a curious cat and couldn’t take the suspense.

We’ve never been able to wait until delivery, although we DID try with Julia… We had the ultrasound tech write her gender on a piece of paper and place it in a sealed envelope. We waited a couple of weeks, but decided to open the envelope at a New Years Eve party, just at midnight. It was so much fun to discover what we were having with all of our friends around! We haven’t thought twice since, but I DO think it would be fun to do something similar this time. I’m just not sure I could handle the suspense!
I would say don’t wait money on the test wait until the ultrasound, they are not that accurate!!!!
Can you send some boys gene over here (we have all daughters, 3 of them!!!) and would not mind a boy! I could trade some girls gene with ya!
I pray that your having a girls, your little daughter would love a baby sister I’m sure and you a bit more pink in your home wouldn’t hurt

I personally think you’re having a boy. I would LOVE for you to add a baby girl to the picture! Either way, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a happy, healthy baby whatever it may be!

I took that test with my last one. It said we would have a girl. I’m so impatient that I went out and bought three girly outfits. We already had three boys so I really needed to get the “buy pink” out of my system.
I’m glad I stopped at three outfits.
Ian is not a girl
I think you may have a girl this time.

Wow, seriously? 100 years??? My goodness! I hope it’s a girl, but even more that’s the your baby is healthy!
I thought I wanted another girl. I’m now thinking well if we did happen to have another, I just may want it to be another boy now after all. I just have one and i’m used to her being the only one. It just seems more normal for her to be surrounded by boys since this is the way it’s been. Does that sound weird?

Expecting mothers cannot wait to know whether they need to paint their room pink or blue. Parents want to start shopping for their kids but shopping can be easier if parents come to know whether they will have a baby boy or girl.
