My sister is now officially engaged!! I found out today that Rachel’s boyfriend, Luke, proposed to her yesterday! We all knew it was coming, but weren’t sure what was taking him so long!
Rachel’s ring is gorgeous, and they are both so happy. Luke is a great guy and will make a wonderful addition to our family. My kiddos have been wanting to call him Uncle Luke for so long, and think it is “super cool” that he is going to be their Uncle, for real, now.
The only sad part about all of this (from a purely selfish perspective) is that they will live in Tennessee – Far, far away from California is Tennessee. Our family has always been so close, and we will miss her terribly. Hopefully we will be able to visit them often.
They have set the special date, and it just happens to fall on my birthday… Isn’t that cool? I am so anxious to start helping her with the wedding plans. She has just a bit over six months, and lots to plan!
Anywho… Just wanted to share the news!

Oh, how exciting! I can’t wait to tell Matt. Rachel looks lovely and happy – can’t believe she’ll be in Tenn! Well, congrats indeed!
