Are You Ready for Family Movie Night?

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on April 16, 2010

I want to remind you that tonight is the night… Are you ready?

Well, grab your popcorn and Sour Patch Kids {wait, that’s me!} and tune in to NBC for Secrets of the Mountain!

As you know, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I am excited to be able to watch it with my kids.

And, no, not because the movie is sponsored by Wal-Mart, but because Secrets of the Mountain is interwoven with adventure and mystery, and touches on the importance of core family values.

Be sure you check out the trailer above. You can even see what real moms had to say about the movie {including me}. But, really… You just need to get the whole family together and watch it. Tonight.

If you love it – and I know you will – you’re in luck, because I have a Secrets of the Mountain DVD and soundtrack bundle to give away!

Here’s how to enter for a chance to win:

  • After you discover more about the movie, come back here and tell me if you think Secrets of the Mountain is a movie your family could enjoy together.
  • If you tune in tonight, please leave me a comment telling me what you and your family thought. Wouldn’t you like to see more quality entertainment like this more often?

Want a few bonus entries? Leave me a separate comment for each of the following:

  • Follow me on Twitter – I’m YoungMommy – and tweet the following, up to once a day through April 30th :: We need more movies like *Secrets of the Mountain* on TV! Enter to win a SoTM DVD/soundtrack bundle http://bit.ly/9quXcj #D2Dgvwy

I’d say it was pretty decent. Definitely better than the average TV fare as of late and hopefully something we do see more of. Now they just need to promote it more effectively.

We watched it on tv. The kids enjoyed it, once they started getting into “the story”.I thought there was kind of alot of product placement in the beginning, but enjoyed the movie overall.

My kids may or may not be able to get into it, only because my kids are almost 8 and under and my husband and I almost never agree on movies :) . I’ll leave it at maybe…

Sadly our family was not able to watch the movie when it aired on TV. I believe Secrets of the Mountain is a movie my whole family could enjoy together and I would love to win the DVD so that my family could watch it. Secrets of the Mountain sounds like a great family movie that is sparked with mystery and adventure.

Sounds like a terrific Family movie. One of us will win a copy and the rest will pray for a re-airing or wait for it on DVD. That’s why anyone that watches TV needs a DVR unit, like a TiVo. We agree that it’s important for families to spend time together, the best plan is to start early and make it a part of your family’s traditions – family movie, game and TV nights. Check out the blog at http://www.watchfamilymovies.com for some ideas, tools and reviews.

My hubby and I thought it was good, wholesome entertainment, free of all the junk that’s out their. We don’t have cable/satellite etc, so it would be great to see more films like this on broadcast channels.
