I LOVED to sit in my Grandma’s lap and listen to her read. Today my kids affectionately call her “Gigi” and she is just as magical as ever. I would love to win a book so that Gigi can record a story for my boys!

I would love one for my mother-in-law to read for my toddler. She has a terrific voice, is a former teacher, loves to read, and lived hours away. This would be a great gift for my little one.

What a great idea!
When I was a kid my parents would record themselves reading on the tape recorder & add some music in the background. DIY audio books! :) hehe

My kids love reading & stories. I think the idea of sending to Grandma to record is a great idea, because my kids get to see one set of grandparents nearly every day, however, their other grandparents live ~4 hrs away. They’d love to be able to have her “read” to them with this. Thanks for the chance!

Wow, not sure if this is a sign from God or what:) Ive been looking at these books an inparticular this exact title. We recently had our first child and unfortunatly my grandma, his great grandma lives all the way across the country and cannot travel due to poor health. Because of the economy we havent been able to afford tickets to see her or even buy the above mentioned book. I would love a chance to win one of these it would be so special for my son to be able to grow up hearing his gg read him a story long after she is gone. Thanks for the oppurtunity:)!!!!

I have 9 grandchildren, and I know they would love to hear their Grandpa’s voice reading to them from a book! There is nothing more soothing than a book read by a loved grandparent!

I just recently became a great-grandmother. My new grandson, Josiah, may in the future want to hear the voices of not only myself, but of his disabled grandmother. Without this item, this will undoubtedly become impossible.

I would love to win these books. I’m a single mother of three wonderful children and I raised my sister which is now serving in Afganistan in the Airforce and my children miss her terribly, this would be an opportunity for them to hear her voice while away. Thank you for the opportunity!!!

I think my son would love to have a book “read” by me because he’s 10 months old and very observant. Due to extinuating circumstances, he is not with me at this time, and this book could be read to him, by me, so he can hear my voice and I can be there with him even when I can’t be at this time.

This is a fantastic idea, my mother is suffering from alzheimers, recordable books are a fantastic way to suport those suffering from this disease to remember and recognise close family members names and voices.

Also fantastci for the patient suffering from alzheimers in its first stages to record for thier loved ones, to help them remember how they once were.

Hi,
I missed the contest but just found out about this book today. I have a 4 month old grandson…our first! I am being treated for cancer for the 2nd time in a year and really want to leave this for Will. I’m just trying to find it and for less than $50. Any ideas would be great!
Thank you!

Our Granddaughter and her Mom have lived with us since before our Granddaughter was born. We(my husband and I were there when she (Hailie) was born. We have been there through every belly ache, new tooth, learning to crawl, walk, all the milestones and around the first of the year our daughter is buying a house and they will be moving out. As I know this is how it should be, my heart is breaking with the knowledge that we won’t be with her in the morning getting ready for school, and won’t be there to read with her at night. I am looking for several of the recordable books to read with and to her with my husband hoping that the transition is less difficult for her.
Our home is all she has known for 7 plus years.

I would love to make this book for my grandbaby. We are missionaries in Russia and I am so far from him. I would love to know he could open that book and hear me telling him how very much I love him any time he wants.

I would just like to say this post was posted in my husbands birthday who recently passed away. Another My children would love this, because if anything ever happened to me like their father they would have my loving voice on a story for them so they could always know that I am with them and feel the comfort of me being around. I think it just means a little more to me now that my husband and their father is gone. I know it’s past the deadline just thought I would share my reasoning anyways. THanks for reading

There have been lots of tragedies recently where I live. Unfortunately, nothing reminds you how much you take for granted until someone close to you passes away. I know death is something no one wants think about and you can never really prepare for death. Although, with the sudden loss of a loved one I”ve realized I’d like to have everyone in my family complete this book. You’ll always have memories, pictures, etc, but a persons voice and handwriting are two things you lose when they leave this earth. This is why I’ve found this book such an amazing idea. May all those who have left this earth too soon rest in peace.
