A Gift of Babywearing

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on December 18, 2007

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingI am so excited about my next gift idea… The Moby Wrap! Whether you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift, or the perfect Baby shower gift, you have found it in the Moby. Every mom should have one!

There are several different colors and styles from which to choose. The black silk is my favorite, because it’s so versatile… I recently wore it, with Baby Noah, to a black tie event, and then again for 14 hours (yes, 14 whole hours, without any discomfort!) while roaming the streets of New York city, just last weekend. I love my Moby, and believe that every Mom should have one!

There are not many places where the Moby is available, other than here on the internet… You can purchase them from Moby directly or from a myriad of shops and boutiques online. But, I am constantly asked about my black silk Moby and where it can be purchased, so I decided to sell them myself! That’s right, you can now purchase your very own Moby (or one to give to a very lucky mom) from me.

So, pull out your list and check off all the moms who deserve a pain-free way to wear baby, comfortably and fashionably, because I am offering 10% off the retail price of any Moby Wrap that I have in stock, with FREE shipping!! (You can email me for prices and styles available.)

WIN IT! Moby also carries a fun line of handknit items for baby…. Would you like to win a Lots of Loops handknit hat (size s/m in sheer pink) for someone on your gift list? Just leave a comment on this post telling me why love (or would like to try) babywearing, and which Moby is your favorite. I will randomly select a winner at 9am on Saturday morning. Good luck!
This giveaway is now closed. Thank you all for entering!

I love babywearing because…well, there are SOOO many reasons but one is that I can have my baby close by and snuggled right next to me while still doing other things – like making supper, etc. And I’d love a Moby D wrap – i like the first colors (dk blue and lt blue) the best i think! :)

The moby D in lilac is my favorite. It is pretty yet functional. I love baby wearing because it takes so much strain off your back from carring an extra person around with you. With the moby I could carry my 2 year old with out alot of problem. My baby can sleep or observe the world from the saftey of mommy. My baby is secure yet I have more freedom with my hands. I love it it is wonderful.

Hmm, my comment didn’t appear. If this duplicates, I apologize.

I love the Moby D wrap – chocolate and earth ton stripe.

I think baby wearing rocks because it adds more bonding time and keeps baby and parent close. Also, the added benefit of hands free and flexibility.

The black silk with black has got to be my favorite! I tried to see if I really liked one you didn’t mention, but it really is my fave. It’s so feminine, yet chic and modern. Love it! I love babywearing with my daughter. I love the closeness we have. I’d love to try Moby!

I love babywearing because it lets me still do things with my 4-year-old daughter. We never miss a field trip, school party, church party or anything else. The best part is that I can still participate and not have to worry about a stroller or leaving my baby unattended.

I’ve loved my Bjorn, but my small (15 lb.) 9-month-old is too much of a busy body to wear her in front of me. She grabs at everything. I’d love to try the Moby D wrap (in the sage brocade) so I can wear her in back as she grows.

I would LOVE the blue silk moby D

I have yet to try babywearing.. I tried a baby bjourn when Connor was just a month old and he hated it.. Ive always wanted a proper carrier but with school its just never been in our budget. I am so jealous when I see you guys and your beautiful carriers all over the blogs. Ive been dying to try a mei tai type carrier so I could get some work done while Connor is awake.

I blogged you too :0

I like the black silk with the pink/orange circles.

I love babywearing! It calms my daughter, makes me feel closer to her, and it’s just so convenient when we’re out and about.

I have an indigo Moby wrap. My daughter’s too big for it now, but it was possibly my very favorite baby product. We both loooove getting “all wrapped up” and walking around outside. I also love the violet Moby D, but never quite had the budget to buy it.

I have actually tried babywearing several times and I really like it (i just don’t do it regularly). I really should do it more since I seem to always carry my son everywhere. My arms and back hurt!!! : )

I would like to try baby wearing. Well, I did “try” it when my son was a newborn. I was giventwo carriers. A Graco and an Infantino. My son’s head flopped around too much and they were not very comfortable. Then when he was about 6 months I tried again. Uncomfortable. Then again out of necessity at around 9 months. Very uncomfy.I have heard so many good things about babywearing though. I would like to try the Moby; maybe I’ll get different results. My son is heavy and lugging a big stroller around is not always practical.

My youngest is beyond wearing, although I do cart him around quite a bit. But my sister just had her 9th baby, and I would love to give her a nice pink Moby wrap to try. Or maybe the black.

I’m a babywearing addict!! And a wrap is the only kind of carrier I’ve never tried. I love all the fabric choices available as well. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I love to wear my daughter in her pocket sling! She just loves looking around but sometimes I don’t feel that she is secure enough. I think the Moby sling would be great! And it comes in so many cool colors.

I happened upon your website and found your wraps to be very interesting. I have a 3 month old daughter that suffers from severe acid reflux since she was 1 week old. She has to be kept upright for long periods of time. I have to use the infant slings which are very uncomfortable. That is the only way I can get anything done around the house. I would love to be considered for your contest. I would love to try a wrap in any color.

my mother in law calls my 3 year old “spirited” which is a nice way of letting me know she thinks my daughter is crazy, busy, out of control. Well, I love babywearing because I can keep up with my “spirited” 3 year old while still enjoying the closeness of my little baby.

I would love to win something this pretty, babywearing has changed my life, oh, and my wardrobe.

I really like the handwoven chocolate wrap. I love wraps because they are so comfortable. I’ve never tried a Moby though.

The loops hat is adorable! :)

I’ve never used babywearing with my toddler, but, when I have another baby, I would love to use this instead of the traditional baby carriers. It looks a lot more comfortable for both baby and mommy.

I’d love to babywear but my kids are grown. However, my daughter is expecting her first and is going to babywear. She is really looking forward to that extra bond and snuggle time – her partner is looking forward to babywearing his princess too!
Thanks for the contest!

My husband and I both wear my toddler. We found early on that wearing her calmed her colicky soul. Oh yes, she screamed all the time, and wearing her was the only mute button we found successful. Now that she has grown out of that, we still enjoy being so close to her. She is a happy girl, and I wouldn’t consider her spoiled because we wore her so much, as my mom threatened she’d become. Wearing a baby is the only way to go!

I love the chocolate Moby color. And pink. And ALL the prints. Oh heck, I think I love all the Moby options!

I would love to try this wrap! My baby boy loves to be with his mommy but his mommy hasn’t found a wrap that suits both of them. Most are too constraining and hard to get baby out of if they are asleep and you want to lay them down. This would be great!
