Shiny

They’re red.
They’re shiny.
Watching the clothes spin ’round and ’round in them is mesmerizing.
My husband thinks I’m strange.,
But my children share my fascination.
In fact, I wish my husband was captivated by them, as we are. Then perhaps he, too, would throw in a load of clothes every once in a while and watch them spin, as we do.

This is the first time I’ve ever had a front load washer and dryer. It’s also the first time I’ve ever had a high efficiency washer, saving water and energy. I will never own anything different. Love them!
With seven wash cycles on the washer, the clothes for our busy – and quite dirty – family of eight always come clean (with the help of our favorite cleaning products, of course) in the Frigidaire Affinity Washer. The Whitest Whites cycle and Deep Clean Sanitize cycle covers the whole gamut. And, if that wasn’t enough, the delay wash setting comes in quite handy…. I can throw dirty clothes in the washer before a weekend trip and they can be freshly cleaned just as we return!
Ooh, and did I mention my kids like to help do laundry now? Score!
Now if only I can find a shiny, red machine to fold and put all the clean clothes away…
.
I received the Frigidaire Affinity Washer and Dryer, as well as the entire line of Frigidaire Gallery appliances, due to my involvement in the Frigidaire Test Drive. You can read more about the program in the following posts:

What are your secrets for getting your kids (or husband) to help with the laundry?

Christine, aka YoungMommy, is married to her best friend, Ray, and together they have six very active children - five boys and one pretty princess. She's a busy mama, spending most of her days homeschooling her crew.

I have to admit, these are the coolest and most functional washer and dryer set we’ve ever had.
I love watching my laundry spin too!!
i make sure my hubby has exactly 7 white t-shirts and 7 clean boxers. then, when it’s weekly laundry time (saturday)… he HAS to do it. or HE is out of stuff to wear on monday.
i have 3 kids… so i obviously do about a load a day. but my hubby does the bulk of it all. AND … he is SO lazy. he has taught the 4 and 5 year old to put their own clothes away.
maybe not SO perfectly folded and put away… but at least IIIIII didn’t have to do it… right?
What gorgeous appliances! I don’t know if they’d be happy in my otherwise dank basement laundry room.
To answer your question, I have spent 15 years completely unable to get my husband to help with the laundry in any way except for bringing his hamper downstairs and putting away his clean clothes. I gave up long ago.
