Rachel says "thank you!"

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on November 28, 2008

Yesterday was the first day Rachel was able to get herself ready since her accident, and she looked great! She did fairly well with a full house and lots of noisy kiddos, but was still in a lot of pain. She wanted to express her gratitude to all of you who showed her such kindness…

Thankful

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on November 27, 2008

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I truly have so much for which to be thankful.

I am thankful for my God and the blessings He has given me in my wonderful and hard working husband, my spunky and energetic kiddos, my wonderful family, my fun and and caring friends… YOU!

I am thankful that I am free to worship, free to speak, free to live and sing and dance!

I am thankful for the rain, the cool breeze, and the roof over our heads, comfy clothes to keep us warm, and good food.

I am thankful for laughter, for joy, for innocence and good times.

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving Day!!

Secret to Great Hair Revealed

by Christine - From Dates to Diapers on November 23, 2008

Do you want in on the secret?

As one of Walmart’s ElevenMoms, I get special privileges… One being that I get to tell you what the Secret to Great Hair products are, even before Stacy London gets to reveal the secret!

Before I let you in on the secret, would you like to see what I thought of the hair care products?

That was in Bentonville, when the ElevenMoms visited Walmart. We were all sent samples of this hair care line after returning home, but what we didn’t know, at the time, was that we got to find out the “secret” before Stacy London reveals it to all….

On Monday I received a lock box. I did not receive the key to this box, nor the code to open it, until Thursday. Torture!

I finally received my login info and a special site address, later in the week, where I punched in my info to receive my code to unlock my box. Inside the box was the secret revealed, along with a note that said:

Christine,

Thanks for being a part of our secret hair care program!
As a way of showing our appreciation, we’ve included a Pantene Pro-V system designed specifically for your hair needs. The back of this card includes a guide to using your Pantene Pro-V system.

Enjoy the journey to healthier hair.

Thanks,

Jody Johnson and Lindsay Briggs

And the Secret to great hair is….. Ready?

Pantene Pro-V!!!

November 11, 2008

Holiday baking has always been a huge part of the Christmas season. Pondering the Miracle (while snug in your PJs) on Christmas Eve

November 11, 2008

Growing up, Christmas Eve was never really celebrated like Christmas Day… We would visit Grandparents and head home to go to bed early, thinking Christmas morning would come faster if we were sleeping. The on Christmas morning we would take time to remember what Christmas is all about. As Ray mentioned, I was a bit […]
