My boys really enjoy their K’NEX, so when I heard that Sesame Street and K’NEX were teaming up to create pre-school-friendly K’NEX Sesame Street building sets for the little ones, I was super excited. My tiny builders have a blast building and creating Elmo - one of their favorite Sesame Street friends.
There are several character sets from which to choose, and each building set is filled with colorful, chunky Kid K’nex rods, connectors and blocks. Each set also includes engaging and interactive educational content such as tips for parents and fun activity cards for kids.
Would you like to win a K’NEX Sesame Street Canister Building Set for your little tyke?
Here’s what you have to do:
- Leave me a comment with your favorite Sesame Street memory, before 9pm (pacific) on October 24th.
- For an extra entry in the random drawing, feel free to subscribe to my blog feed. You must remain a subscriber at least through the duration of this contest to qualify for a second entry. Make sure you leave me a separate comment saying you subscribed.
- A lucky commenter, chosen at random, will win the K’NEX Sesame Street Cannister Building Set. The winner will be notified via email, so make sure you leave a valid email address in your comment.
Good luck!
This giveaway is now closed. The winner will be notified soon!

I adored sesame street growing up. We had the Sesame Street Christmas and watched it every year. We lost the tape, though, and I recall, after having my first, finding it on Amazon.com and ordering it. Sitting down and watching MY favorite video from childhood with MY child brought me to tears. Seriously lost it. And each time I watch it with all of my children and explain to them how it was mommy’s favorite when she was a kid, it not only brings me back to being a kid myself, but brings me back to the moment I first showed it to my first child, and yup, get teary every time.

Oh Oh Oh Oh this is easy for me!! My son is 9 years old and loves elmo! He loves elmo so very much that I stood outside for over 17 hours in the cold to get him a TMX elmo when they first came out. Everyone of cource thought I was totally crazy! This past year our son got to meet elmo which was extra special as he got to actully “feel” a life size Elmo! He can not see so using his hands to feel is a big thing. He smiled ear to ear and really enjoyed being able to hear and feel elmo when we took him to the concert. It was GREAT!! If I win I will save this for Christmas for him. Thanks for the awsome contest!

I have always loved Sesame street. One of my favorite memories is when Grover is a waiter in a restaurant. He keeps goofing up the customer’s order in his funny Grover way. Great show! I miss Jim Henson. He was a genius.

I remember watching sesame street when I was a kid. One time I was watching the honkers (the guys that bop their noses and honk) and they were going on and on honking a song. Then, right when there was a pause, a car right outside the window just–honked. It was perfect timing.

My favorite Sesame Street moment is when Itzhak Perlman takes the stage slowly, gingerly managing his leg braces. He plays the violin beautifully. Then a young boy runs quickly up onto the stage, and plays his violin hesitantly, with great difficulty.
Itzhak says, “Some things are easy for me to do. Some things are hard for me to do.”
