Very rarely do I, as a lone adult, take all six of my kiddos to the pool to swim. If I were an octopus it might not be so bad, but I just don’t have enough arms to feel safe by myself with my babies at the pool.
I do, however, recruit invite my unsuspecting very good friends to join us, quite often. (They know I love hanging out with them!) - My son’s pacifier…actually we don’t go ANYWHERE without his “paci”. He two months old so there is no compromising! LOL!!

Haven’t been to the pool since my pregnancy – we used to have an indoor pool in our apartment complex – but I would definitely bring water and sunsceen – I know you said one – but these two are essentials. Hydration for the skin and protection for it as well! I’m an older mommy of a a one year old and don’t want to look like one!
I can’t wait till we transfer to the base in Pensecola! Beach and pool within easy reach no more remote desert (as beautiful as it is!).

I’d love to say sunscreen but I’ve been a bad mamma and Ive forgotten it one too many times lately. We do never leave home without a ball for the pool as suddenly Connor has become a ball freak.
Definately sunscreen! We turn into lobsters within 5 minutes without it.
I’d love to say we always remember towels, but we don’t!

WE never go to the pool without a sippy cup of fresh water. It never amazes me how much salt water to chlorine water my little one can drink!!
I always take an extra swim diaper with me. Kiddo also appreciates a lil snack and a cup of water!

We never go to the pool without spray-on sunscreen and lip balm with spf. Before we go, we always put a bottle of lotion or aloe in the fridge to soothe a little one who may have accidentally gotten too much sun.

We never go to the pool without zinc. Our daughter had surgery on her arm and until it heals completely we must must must put zinc on it to avoid the sun.

Obviously, sunscreen, but also a lifejacket (with one of those head things) for my eldest. I have 2 under 2 so I don’t brave the pool alone much either but, if I do, it’s nice to have one in a lifejacket so I don’t have to be QUITE as close!
Yes, sunscreen is the most important item but we also take hats and our swim shoes for the hot concrete!
We havent gone swimming much this summer (and our chance to go last night with 4 littles, was foiled bc the van is not working properly and I didnt feel safe taking them without an extra pair of hands) but we always, always, always, always take organic sunscreen.
Fortunatley our pool is in the backyard, so I don’t have to pack much. but i always have lots of sunscreen and swim diapers in the house.
We cannot go to the pool without a few items: sunglasses, sunscreen & snacks! It seems like you always get hungry when you swim!
