We stock up on Baby Wipes. We use them not only for the obvious jobs, but these handy little wet cloths are useful for so many things!
**Updated to add: I use Kirkland wipes for most everything, but I keep a special box of Pampers Sensitive wipes for our skin (see #’s 2, 6 & 13)!

1. Shine your shoes
My boys are pros at cleaning their shoes with baby wipes!
2. Remove Your Makeup
There is seriously no better way to remove eye makeup, even the stubborn water proof stuff!
Even top models use baby wipes!
3. Spot clean your carpet and furniture
From coffee spills to blood stains, those baby wipes get it all out!
4. Use as cleaning cloths
Some brands, such as Huggies, can be washed and used as cleaning cloths.
I would hope that I wouldn’t have to say that only the *mildly used* wipes should be washed and re-used!!
5. Wipe down your bathroom
No time to *clean* your bathroom before that last minute guest should arrive? Grab a baby wipe and wipe down the counter surfaces… They work great!
6. Soothe your skin
You can temporarily soothe a sunburn or pre-clean a cut or scrape with just a swipe of the baby wipe!
7. Touch up paint spots
As we were painting we used many baby wipes to clean up the base boards and out-of-place paint spots! Works like magic!
8. Spot clean your clothes
You know, those I-have-no-time-to-change-after-baby-spits-up-on-me moments. Grab a baby wipe, scrub the stain, and head out the door as good as new!
9. Wipe your hands
After pumping gas, or serving PB&J’s in the park, a wipe is ever so handy!
10. Clean off your dashboard
The baby wipe is perfect for the dusty build up on the dashboard of your car, and the console, and the…..
11. Wipe down the couch
We have a micro-fiber upholstered couch, and nothing removes the spills and sticky messes like a baby wipe!
12. Use as a dust cloth
My kids like to dust with a baby wipe in each hand. They will wander around the house searching for surfaces to wipe clean!
13. Wipe the baby’s crusty nose
Wipes work wonders! A warm wash cloth is too big and abrasive for those little sore and sensitive noses, but a baby wipe does the trick and they never even know it’s comin’! The sensitive ones, with aloe, are perfect for the job.
What other ways do you use Baby Wipes?

Wow. I had no clue they were so versatile! I’m so stingy with them b/c of their cost. I will have to rethink that now.
One tip I learned from an old Amish quilter, if you get blood on fabric, your own saliva will get it out. It has to be yours though. (Maybe b/c of the enzymes? Dunno.) -that’s my random Amo thought of the day. Glad you could be there! heh
You what else? I use them to clean my Dooney handbags before conditioning them!
Great post! I keep telling my husband that even after the kids are done needing wipes, I’ll continue to keep them on hand for the rest of my life. I use them all the time for many of the uses you listed. So handy!
I seriously use my wipes to clean up spills on the carpet as well.
A lot of people don’t know this, but baby wipes work JUST as well as goo-gone for getting rid of the sticky that stickers and tape leave behind. The best part is that you don’t have to use that horrible smelly stuff around your kids, and they can clean up the stickers they stuck to the windows themselves!
What a fun post!! I use them to clean shoes and clean stains from the carpet. Baby wipes are amazing, aren’t they??
I use them for cleaning my stamps- they take ink right off!
Cleaning couches! Must be Kirkland brand in my house!
I thought we’d stop buying wipes once my little girl was potty trained but we also use them for so many other things now that they are a staple purchase on our Costco runs. They are definitely great for removing make-up. We also use them for cleaning face and fingers after a messy dinner and for cleaning up spills on the floor.
OMG!!!! I did not know about some of these uses. My little man does not like anything touching his nose besides a warm wash cloth. I recently found that out.
I amazed that these mommas didn’t know most of these uses. I’m not a mother yet, but I always keep wipes in the house (and feel silly buying them, let me tell ya). They have SO many great uses! I also use them for wiping muddy dog paws, cleaning my cats eye gunk, wiping down the dogs fur between baths, cleaning earring posts of the crud they collect, as well as cleaning the toilet tank…you know how dust just sticks relentlessly to it, baby wipes are perfect for getting it off the tank.
I use them to clean the leather seats in my car. They always look great.
I used to work for P&G in Poland during university and discovered what has till now (our first baby due also in October) been by far the most grateful use for the wipes: the clean-up AFTER the baby MAKING process
